Using WordPress 3.8.1
Using Buddypress 1.9.2
Using bbPress 2.5.3

On my site’s user groups, when I create a new topic within a group’s forum it appears to work fine. However, after I click submit and the topic is posted, the title is all that shows up. In other words, when you click on the title in the forum it brings up only the tile and a “reply to this topic” field. The actual content of the topic doesn’t appear.

Would REALLY appreciate some support as I have people waiting to use this function as I write this.

Is used to determine if the current page is the recent comments page.

I’ve never come across the ‘recent comments’ page. Does anyone know what the link to it would be? There’s also a recent posts page apparently.

Just stopped working can disable my pages show again soon as enable Buddypress cant enable any other pugins beyonf this or pages blank

Will BP 2.0 “WordPress Rewrite Rules API integration #4954” add support for installing BuddyPress for WordPress sights that have the WP core files in their own directory? I’m not sure if I’m using the right terminology there but for example:
Site URL= mysite.com
WP file directory = public_html/wpdirectory
and the WP index.php is placed in the web root (public_html) directory.

I’m trying to show featured members from my BuddyPress community on the front page of a site I’m working on. I have been able to achieve this, however, I want to show a line from their user profile there too under their name and I can’t seem to achieve this. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Hi guys, ive managed to almost get where I need to go with this thanks to the great explanations and code examples on these forums but Im stuck at the final hurdle! Basically what Im trying to create is an “in/out” board on our intranet which is a single page on the site which loops through all users and displays their last status update. All our staff will then use the status update function to update their whereabouts, eg “at lunch back at 2” or “meeting offsite until 3”
Ive managed to create a custom page template with a hacked up version of the members loop which so far gives me the avatar, username and last status update, but the final thing I need is the time/date of the last status update instead of the time the user was last active.
I could do this in the activity loop and Ive created a function in my functions.php to format the date the way I want it, but it seems this does not apply to the members loop.

from what I can tell, I dont want to be using the bp_member_last_active() function as this will return the last time the user did anything. Rather, I need to use some other function which will return the timestamp of the users last status update, but I cant get this part to work!

I was going to modify this Codex page but wanted to ask for some confirmation from the Codex team what I’m doing is right.

I think the function should be bp_activity_add and not bp_activity_record
