ParticipantIf they do turn off then they don’t deserve to understand, and good luck to them! There is a danger in pandering to those that want things spelled out in too much of an idiot fashion, My steps were verbose but accurate if followed, which sadly does mean a certain amount of application of effort on the part of the reader *sigh*

Moderator@hnla I read it and people still keep asking. I broke it down more into steps instead of large paragraphs. People need bullet point instructions or they turn off.

Memberyes? I’m still not quite sure what to do tho, can u explain?
January 13, 2011 at 8:22 pm #102786Hugo Ashmore
ParticipantYou provide next to no information on your setup both WP/BP and more importantly your server/hosting .Email issues nearly always have a root cause at the server level, generally WP sends email without hitch via fakemail programs such as sendmail.

Membersystem is not sending.. I have tried myself with several email addresses and there are no mails, not in the inbox and not in the spam/junk either..

Participant@modemlooper you’ve gone and duplicated effort here! I had written up an explanation for using poedit a while ago and added it to the codex on the language page.

Participant=== the budypress.org site is not a clear representation of a budypress site : ===
http://testbp.org/ is a clear representation of a default install of BuddyPress as noted in Codex. And the wall/wire was in the core of BuddyPress plugin pre-BP 1.2 version. Don’t know why it was removed.

Member@sevenos … Is the system not sending? or are people not receiving? I had to put a warning message in the registration form to remind folks to check their junk/spam folders because 99% of all “missing” activation emails go there.

Participantyes @mercime i understand that, but the point is not that it didn’t work with me at first, the point is why it is a feature here on the budypress site and not easily available on the core package/theme, so here they think its a good feature, but on all the other budypress sites its not, or if you want it, you have to hack it in to have something similar, doesn’t make sense… basically the budypress.org site is not a clear representation of a budypress site

@mercime
Participant@cybersnac, that’s the way it should be done. See https://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/bp-template-pack-walkthrough-level-easy-2/
Also, BP Template Pack has not been updated since Feb. 2010. See following thread for @hotforwords‘ BP Template Pack update https://buddypress.org/community/groups/how-to-and-troubleshooting/forum/topic/buddypress-template-pack-and-buddypress-1-2-6-things-break-but-i-have-a-solution
@boonebgorges the text box area is only 25% on this page
why?January 13, 2011 at 3:46 pm #102765modemlooper
ModeratorYou load that file as well

Member@mercime this doesn’t seem to have made a difference. What were your thoughts around this, if I may ask?

MemberOh great, that’s done it nicely. Thanks! I’ve now created a .mo file from the tdomf.pot file that comes with the tdo mini forms plugin to make further wording changes to the plugin, so do I add some extra code to this bp-custom.php file in order to get that working also?
Cheers,

January 13, 2011 at 2:29 pm #102755sevenos
MemberHey thanks, If I can get this plugin to work with the invitation plugin it will be great!
But it would be awesome to fix an error like this since it might be a very big problem in the future,
So If anyone else have any ideas, it’ll b nice to hear.
Thanks again stefaane,January 13, 2011 at 1:43 pm #102752stefaane
Memberi don’t know what’s causing it, and i don’t know the solution
but until you know, you can avoid the problem with this plugin: http://buddydev.com/plugins/bp-auto-activate-auto-login/
with this plugin verification mails are disabledJanuary 13, 2011 at 1:03 pm #102750In reply to: BuddyPress Translation

Participantok, have to withdraw my comment re transposh. in version 0.7.0 it has improved .po/.mo support and works excellent, at least it looks like this at the moment.

ParticipantHi eredepe, this bug doesn’t make sense for me. Please activate a different theme, and then reactivate the custom community theme.
If the error still occurs, I will need to check it, and try to reproduce it.
For Support around Custom Community, please use the forum on themkraft.com
I guess you will find most questions already answered over there. -
