@avinanrey just log onto your server via FTP, and rename the BuddyPress plugin directory, or delete it. This works for any malfunctioning plugin. It will be immediately disabled.

I have come across the same error with WP 3.1 beta 1. Apparently WordPress normally ignores this error.

But the issue lies with the plugin.

I am also having a problem with auto-completing or even manually completing the “Send To” field. I have WP 3.0.3 and BuddyPress 1.2.6 running a test site: http://carolineelisa.com/archcrit/

The following happens when I have the Friends feature disabled as well as when I have the Friends feature enabled, but have no friends:

When I start typing a name or username a buggy and/or empty list appears below the field box. e.g. When I type “c” the list shows ‘chitecture’, or when I type “e” it shows ‘el=”alternate” type=…’

If I type a username eg “elisa” and tab out of the field it populates with ”

If I click out of the text field I can send the message fine.

Continuing here from WP.org forum thread, if you mean media upload by members who’re registered on your site, then what techguy said above answers your question. But if you mean online visitors do not need to register to upload media, then aside from that being a dangerous thing to do, try out TDO Mini-forms.

Do you mean a blog directory which lists all blogs in the BP install? You must enable multisite first – create a network. Then:
1. Go to dashboard > Super Admin > Options – Registration Setting – Allow site creation
2. Go to dashboard BuddyPress > Component Setup – Blog Tracking enable
3. For users’ blogs to be listed in blogs directory, Settings > Privacy must be public.

Or do you mean just the “blog” section of the main site?

@sicksight – did you ever figure out how to add the “load more” ajax button to members and/or groups? I found your post here after thinking the same thing about its benefits for usability…let me know!

– Copy over the header.php from bp-default theme to your child theme.
– Open header.php and add class to the li’s of default BP components starting from line 47 on header.php

You would have to ask plugin authors of “Links” and “Achievements” on how to generate addition class for styling hook.
– after you’re done, save and upload to your child theme folder in server
– in style.css add background image to li.icon-members, li.icon–groups, etc.

@mark211 – I have been using BP Gallery plugin in different installs since early 2010 and have not experienced the behavior you noted in your post. @sbrajesh would have helped you resolve any problem you may have encountered with his BP Gallery plugin. Maybe you meant another gallery/media plugin?

@ewebber – Just checked. Yeah the message gets escaped, so you can’t add HTML by default.

If you want to add HTML, you’ll have to remove how BP renders the message, then you’ll have to write your own custom message function.

You can apply a filter to ‘bp_get_the_profile_field_datebox’ to add extra years:

Find the bp_get_the_profile_field_options() function in /buddypress/bp-xprofile/bp-xprofile-templatetags.php where this filter is defined, so you’ll have a better idea of how to override it.

Like I mentioned, that is the intended behaviour. This is probably done to prevent accidentally spamming your users every time the group description is changed.
