KeymasterIf someone feels like extending XML-RPC support to BuddyPress then that would be an excellent plugin that could be rolled into core at some point.

Andy Peatling
KeymasterYou won’t have to worry about it as the internal version of bbPress will upgrade when you upgrade BuddyPress.

KeymasterYou should not be using bp-sn-parent theme, it says it right there in the description. Use the bp-default.

Keymaster@r-a-y – Two great ideas. Next time I push out an update I will implement both. Maybe an admin option with checkboxes for where you want the subscribed/not-subscribed messages to appear (on the group home page or on the group forum index page or both). I might get to this next week – earlier if I find bugs and need to update anyway

@Erich73 https://buddypress.org/about/roadmap/ says it’s coming in v1.3 core. That might not be for a while, though.

ParticipantIt’s more likely he forgot to remove bp related plugins from mu-plugins folder after deactivating buddypress. I had the same problem yesterday when I used it.

Participantstart from deactivating all the plugins. if wp-signup still returns blank page, this would be problem on wpmu not buddypress.

KeymasterBoone… great work as always!

Still on < 1.1 myself, and was thinking we needed something like this for group forums in the interim.
Just a few suggestions:
– maybe add the admin options page under the “BuddyPress” admin menu?
– is there an action that will show the “Forum subscription” block on the group forum index page instead of the group homepage?

Jeff Sayre
ParticipantThe current version of bp-contents is not compatible with BuddyPress v1.1. I know that Burt was making some significant improvements to his plugin, waiting for v1.1 to come out before he released it.
I would suggest that you contact him via BuddyPress private messaging and see what he says about a timeline.

Andy Peatling
KeymasterSuper cache is not a good solution for BuddyPress since the pages are updating all the time and the cache becomes poisoned too quickly. Object cache is a much better approach.

KeymasterIt is not defective. Many people have set it up with no problems, you need to provide more details on your WPMU version and setup, as well as your server setup. Without this you are just shouting and no one can help you.

ParticipantStill does not work , I would have to do a fresh install and I am not willing to loose everything just to use a new version of buddypress
buddypress 1.1 is defective and I am not the only one with the issue.
We need a fix or people will go back to buddypress.10 until the new version is bug free

ParticipantHum. Strange. But, your best bet is still to contact the plugin developer.
By the way, I have moved this thread to the “Third Party Components & Plugins” forum as it is more than likely not a BuddyPress issue but a plugin conflict.
