I have been consistently having issues with the Recent Blogs Widget. It will ork fine for days, then the list of Recently Updated Posts go missing from my blogs and when I check out the widget page for these blogs, this is what I see:

I delete the file
bp-blogs.phpfile from the mu-plugins folder and the error message vanishes. Sometimes an hour later, sometimes a day later, I can uploadbp-blogs.phpand all is well again.And when it errors out on one blog, it errors on on ALL blogs using it.
I am running it on primepress theme, WPMu 2.7 and BuddyPress RC-1.
I’ve been having this problem for weeks, previous attempts to get some help for this proved fruitless.
I’ve searched everywhere for this answer. Let’s say I have a standard blog site on WPMU and I want BuddyPress to run secondary to it using the same registered members. Basically I want to run a standard blog site and then have the social networking added on.
Can I do that? Or was BuddyPress meant to be a standalone with one install of WPMU?

When activating the oci_bb_groups_forums.php plugin, I receive this error…
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare oci_server_methods() (previously declared in [...]/wp-content/mu-plugins/oci_bp_group_forums.php:417) in [...]/discussions/my-plugins/oci_bb_group_forums.php on line 249This comes from my using “deep integration” on the bbPress side, including wp-load.php to allow access to the WP/BP functions (despite being told not to do this, ha!)
Adding some if function does not exist checks might be a good measure…

oci_authenticate
oci_xmlrpc_query

untrailingslashitAlso, I added this around the ixr inclusion:

}Might not be correct, but it did get rid of the double inclusion for me.
After those changes I was able to get that file to include without problem. Gonna keep testing.
Howdy all. I’ve got a little plugin ready for testing that allows bp group forum functionality in bbPress. From the readme.txt:
Description
Enable BuddyPress group forum features in bbPress.
BuddyPress has three types of groups. Public, Private and Hidden. In all three
cases users must be members of a group to participate in group forum conversations.
These two plugins modify a standard bbPress forum installation to allow
BuddyPress group members to carry on discussions in bbPress.
BuddyPress public groups will be read only in bbPress. Anyone wishing to participate
in a public group discussion must be a member of that group in bp.
BuddyPress private and hidden groups will be hidden in bbPress. Only members
of these groups will see the forums and be able to participate.
BuddyPress group admins and mods have moderator privileges in bbPress.
The moderator role is restricted to their group forum.
I’m gonna do a blog post about this but first I have to run up to the store and get something for my girlfriend. Something pink and expensive. Candy people, candy. This is Valentines Day right? Forgot all about it being buried up to my eyeballs in php for the past week.
EDIT: I’m back. Girlfriend is happier. I’m happier that she’s happier.

Sadly, i must confirm this issue with a german BP RC1, too …
Exactly the same problem as sgrunt declared.
The only workaround to handle/ display widgets again seems to be deleting the wp-content/mu-plugins/bp-languages/buddypress-de_DE.mo (or what language ever).
Praying for this issue being solved soon, since I had planed to launch my BP-Site “officially” this weekend …
