Hi!
Im using a buddypress theme, translated to swedish, and just discovered that you cant use Å;Ä;Ö and special characters in the profile fields.. Is there any way to change this?

This configuration is working nearly perfectly, out of the box! :o) ..Except, the Buddypress associated WP Register Page isn’t fetching the theme styles.

I checked the theme (which is the Rocket Theme Basic Theme for WP), and I checked the Buddypress files and all I was able to find, up to this point, is the following.

I haven’t been able to track the source of the rogue > yet, I’ll keep looking.

I’d like to use this plugin to integrate user registration with our GetResponse email list, but it does not seem to work with the BuddyPress registration page. http://wordpress.org/plugins/getresponse-integration/
Any ideas how to get that little checkbox added to the BP registration page?

I am trying to figure out how to get notified of new posts in the little circle on the top WordPress userbar that tells you when you have messages, a friend request, there is a new forum post, etc. Sometimes it tells me when there is a new post, and sometimes it does not and I can’t find the rhyme or reason for it. I know how to get email notifications, by checking the box after a post, but can someone please tell me if the notification in the top menu bar is BuddyPress or bbPress in nature, and how I go about making sure it tells me if there is a new post in my forum?
Thanks ahead of time for your wisdom, and apologies if this is an easy one: I’ve done a bit of searching and you won’t believe everything that comes up when you do searches for notifications. I just must not be asking the internet the right questions O.o

Hello, I am using WordPress 3.9.1 and BuddyPress 2.0.1 and I’m only now seeing a reference to a sitewide activity stream page, as opposed to just activity from yourself and friends. Should “All Members” be a tab that is available to me from my profile page, as Personal, Mentions, Favorites, Friends and Groups are, like it is in the top screenshot of this page on Activity Streams:

I do not see the “All Members” tab in my profile as shown in that screenshot.
Other information that could affect this, if the “All Members” tab should be there, is I am using Custom Community theme, which used to support BuddyPress but recently has been listed as outdated, and I am using a custom bbPress theme that makes the forums look like phpBB3.

I just have 1 simple question regarding the “group” features on buddypress, would it be possible to add 1 extra layer to it (is there a plugin for it)? As of right now (most theme on themeforest), when someone make a group, right under it, would be member. Would it be possible to make it like this: big group, smaller group, then member (small group being extra layer)?
For example:
Big group: Running
Small group: Houston Runners, Dallas Runners, etc
Member: member name and profileReally appreciate any help.

Hello,
I have been trying to update from 1.9.2 to 2.0.1 for a while now. Whenever i install the new version and click on activate, the site simply crashes and is not available again, until i rename the buddypress folder.
Interesting is, if i install buddypress 1.9.2 again, this activation works flawless.So far i have not been able to track the error down. in apaches error log, no php errors are shown, prior to the crash ( yes, pohp loggiin is on and working and stores into apaches error log). it simply starts:
[Fri Jun 20 16:16:51.729370 2014] [core:notice] [pid 27371] AH00052: child pid 27377 exit signal Segmentation fault (11)This happens on every refresh then.
I am completely clueless, any idea?

I’m new to BuddyPress and setting up our first site using it for a client. One of the very first things I need/want to do is to have the What’s New/Status Update box available all over the site, so a user can post a new message from any page, rather than having to go back to Activity Page each time.
Is there a feature, plugin or component to do this? I’ve tried searching and not found anything, which surprises me, seems an obvious feature. Maybe I’m using the wrong terms for this box.

I need to customize the existing REGISTRATION FORM, which now contains only the very basics, and I need to find the other “labels”, php do_action, and the input types, but eve more so, where they are located now, so that I can add and change my current registration form.

Can you guys point me in the right direction please?
Trying to setup a social website direct towards a specific fandom (broad target includes rule 34) and using the best free webhost that will allow adult content (zokahost) but it has a cpu,ram, and daily hit limit, for free accounts anyway. And was wondering if anyone had a recommended list of buddypress/bbpress plugins that won’t eat up my daily cpu limit. I want to offer chatrooms, messenger style communication, forums, logging in with FB and receiving reply notifications from the forum on FB. Rewards for posting, groups, a group restricted forum (for adult, VIP’s, etc) and hopefully if any plugin exists out there that would allow me to restrict certain pages to a specific buddypress groups, that would be awesome (no luck thus far finding on, doesn’t look like one exists so far).

Tried a bunch of things but can’t get around this above image. Doesn’t even look like the page is loading properly. Was attempting the Change Avatarr subnav.

BuddyPress 2.0.1As a normal contributor when editing a topic I can see an input to select a new forum to move the topic to
The issue is that in the list of forums to pick I can see forums belonging to private groups I’m not part of
If I select one of those and submit the post gets moved there. I think I shouldn’t see those forums in the first place.
Is this a bug I should file on trac or am I doing something wrong?

I’m creating a few activity entries when a user creates a CPT on the site. When viewing the Activity admin screen, these entries have “Unregistered action – created_recipe” in the Action column.
Is there a way to register the action?
