In reply to: Unable to join groups at bp.org
@mercime
ParticipantWhat is bbp.org? Does the same thing happen when you use the bp-default theme? It would help if you provide more information about your installation.
EDIT – Is this in relation with your post re BP Group Hierarchy plugin https://buddypress.org/community/groups/creating-extending/forum/topic/bp-group-hierarchy-enhanced/ ?

Participant== Only issue i have is with this forums ==
No, you have an issue with all BP pages. Bringing your attention to the fact that the footer div is missing from the BP pages.
== I did it like 10 times, same result ==
What did you do 10x? Did you delete the BP folders in wp-content/themes/gonzo then re-run Appearance > BP Compatibility?

Is there any code i could add to CSS template file to fix index main of forums?November 17, 2012 at 3:42 am #145190In reply to: Register Button not completing sign up
@mercime
ParticipantAs far as I know, you’re the first person who reported an issue with the registration buttons for BP Default theme in this forums for current BP/WP versions. And I cannot recreate your issue in a new test install.
Did you check if the Salutation theme has been updated for BP 1.6.1? Also, have you checked if the plugins you posted above have been updated for current WP version?

@mercime
Participant@monkfish13 line 4 change to -> `return $post->post_name;`
HOWEVER, this might not work or could go seriously awry if there other other references to the post with group permalink in the other parts of the plugin. Best place to ask is at BuddyDev forums where the plugin dev knows the code inside and out.November 16, 2012 at 6:42 pm #145155In reply to: [Resolved] Menu styling help

@mercime
Participant@rakshithvbharanigmailcom You only need to create two new files, header-buddypress.php and sidebar-buddypress.php to make your theme compatible with BP.
If you’ve revised any of the BP template files transferred to your lucid theme folder in server during the BP Compatibility process, please delete the 6 BP folders transferred to your lucid theme folder in server – /activity, /blogs, /forums, /members, /groups, /register – then re-run Appearance > BP Compatibility again to make sure that you have clean template files.
A. COPY your theme’s header.php and Save As > header-buddypress.php
Open up header-buddypress.php and at the BOTTOM of the file, below other code contained within, add this:

monkfish13
ParticipantI have found what is was thank Hugo, but that has now given me another challenge.
I am using the ‘Blog Catagories for Groups’ plugin, which provides a blog feed for each group depending on the assigned category(s).
This plugin works however in a nested fashion – so within the group area on BP ( like the group forums do)
When clicking on the group Blog button, users see a list of blog posts relative to their group and category.
If you click on the post permalinks – it displays the post in a nested fashion, still under the group header.
I would like these title permalinks to take users back to the original blog post rather than a nested version.
I believe that the code I need to change is this:
`
<a href="” rel=”bookmark” title=”
`
But what do I need to change it to make it link back to the original blog post?
So to change this permalink –
http://www.racecraftmodels.co.uk/groups/gt-and-le-mans/blog/martini-racing-porsche-935into this
http://www.racecraftmodels.co.uk/martini-racing-porsche-935Any ideas? I am sure it is simple, but I don’t have the knowledge to make it work.
With thanks

ParticipantWith Salutation you are not using the BP template pack, it’s a WP/BP theme. Would say yes, they are enqueueing the file. In the meantime I had a long discussion with Andy (the theme dev) in that forum over there… I will let you know if we have a solution. Thanks for your thoughts.

Participant@hnla Yes, they have a forum. I was also asking over there. And I’m not the only one.
Do you have an idea why that bp-default path has two slashes?
November 15, 2012 at 8:03 pm #145092In reply to: Avatar Crop broken with Chrome – Salutation Theme
Hugo Ashmore
ParticipantYes but it’s a Salutation issue, sorry that’s not too helpfull but this forum supports BP and bp-default theme not third party themes. The script you show being called in the head is BP’s JS file required for many aspects of BP functionality. Does no one else experience this issue on Salutations forums? do they have forums?

@mercime
Participant@bilalturkmen This forum is for BuddyPress-related issues. Please post at the WordPress Forums -> https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting and do include more information about your install like : WP version? When did you see the message? Did you install/delete and plugin/theme just before this happened? That will help the volunteers there help you.

Participant@mercime Thanks for your reply. It’s working with bp-default

The reason to ask here in the bp forum is, that Andy doesn’t care. And it is confusing for me to see part of bp-default in my page source (created by Salutation), and to see that double slash…
