MemberThanks for the reply!
Tried deactivating BP Template Pack and switched to default BP theme, but still not working. Also created a new group, but still not working. I am using the Eleven40 (Genesis) theme by Studiopress.

Participant== I am using my own custom theme, along with BuddyPress Template Pack plugin. ==
Deactivate BP Template Pack plugin and change to bp-default theme. Is issue resolved? What WP theme were you using?

@mercime
Participant@ultimateuser userbase is separate by default but super admin and blog admins can invite users from other blogs and last time I checked it out, there’s a function posted in BuddyDev forums where you can have the same userbase across the network if you want it that way, OR allow the users to choose which subsite/s they want to join by using http://buddydev.com/buddypress/introducing-join-blog-widget-for-wordpress-multisite/

ParticipantHi Zoe,
you can try this code: http://pastebin.com/UDXwYxYf
Placing it in your bp-custom.php file in /plugins
I haven’t tried it, and am a bit uncomfortable with the hard coded component names, but it’s worth a try.
Cheers, Roger

ParticipantI am using the plugin http://buddydev.com/plugins/buddypress-multi-network/ together with BP 1.6 (trunk). Would you know how to share user across the different networks (shared user table) but have separate groups, forums etc?

ParticipantI navigated to your site… I have a question with regard to the implementation of the group forum: In your Gun Chick topic, I see that it includes a video. It does not look like a Youtube or Vimeo video where you posted a link. Was this video uploaded to the Media Library? What I really would like to know is if you are using a plugin to allow group members to easily uploaded video? If so, what plugin? Thanks!

ParticipantIt appears you are already getting lots of support re: this question over on bbPress forums. Where, they’ve pointed out that you have your urls configured incorrectly.
You also appear to have explained on there, that it’s not the actual pagination that’s broken, but actually your ability to navigate the pages.
Please feedback on this thread, when you’ve worked out the solution from the support you are receiving on bbPress.

KeymasterIf your question is about the bbPress plugin’s options (or site wide forums), you should be asking for support on bbpress.org.
Group forums are very different.
July 29, 2012 at 11:24 am #138137In reply to: How do I replace website text with images?
Roger Coathup
ParticipantYou can replace text with images in your CSS files.
There are a variety of techniques you can use. It’s not really a BuddyPress question, and you’d be better looking them up in a guide to CSS, or on some CSS specific forums.
Try googling ‘CSS image replacement’ as a starting point.

No, I didnt apply any code (mom wish I knew). There is an option to do that in the bbpress’s settings pageJuly 28, 2012 at 10:27 pm #138118In reply to: Enterprise Nation: a 64,000 member BuddyPress site
Roger Coathup
Participant@elangley – BuddyPress is used to provide the backbone for member accounts on Enterprise Nation. Customised activity stream loops are also used (e.g. clicking on discussions a sidebar option from some pages) takes you to a custom activity stream showing new forum threads, and blog comments & threads.
The profiles are currently being overhauled – with a raft of new functions coming on board in the next month or so (e.g. shop account integration, and some bespoke BuddyPress components for directory listings).

Participant== I set the number of topics and replies that should be shown in a single page as 2, 5, 6 and 10. ==
Not quite clear. Which is the number that you set – 2, 5, 6, or 10? You mention both group forums and sitewide forums in the last paragraph, so which forum did you set the number of topics to be shown on the page? And what code did you use to set the number.

Participant@pkmcilroy there are AJAX/JS conflicts with BP and Canvas Theme https://buddypress.org/community/groups/how-to-and-troubleshooting/forum/topic/woo-canvas-child-theme-customization-and-ajax/ Near the end of the topic, someone posted a link to a premium Canvas child theme which has BP compatibility. I will only suggest that if you’re going to purchase that child theme, wait till it’s been updated for BP 1.6 which will be coming out pretty soon.

Participantjust curious,
1. how large is your phpBB forum?
2. where you host it?
3. what is the hosting package? Price?
4. how many registered members you have?
5. how many members are online during any given time?July 27, 2012 at 8:24 pm #138057r-a-y
Keymaster@frank13 – I’m just re-reading this entire thread.
It looks like you’re registering users manually via the WP admin dashboard’s Users page, but then are wondering why these users do not show up in BP’s Members Directory.
When you register a user that way, they will not show up in BuddyPress’ members directory until they login.
You can bypass this programatically by adding a ‘last_activity’ user meta entry.
Read this thread for more details:
https://buddypress.org/community/groups/how-to-and-troubleshooting/forum/topic/make-all-members-active-1/#post-110469This hopefully addresses your problems!
