Member@DJPaul I also found out that when I favorite a forum post it will not show up in my favorites under my profile. I think definitely bbpress isn’t connected correctly. If you find anything I would appreciate it.

MemberThanks mercime, what I have done is exactly the same as the instructions, apart from I’ve changed the slug names. I can actually get to view the post, but if I wanted to create a link to the forum, use a url to the forum, create a menu-heading to get to it – nothing works.

MemberI am having the same problem. I have looked at various posts regarding this already. I must be missing something but…I have unticked the enable group forums, as I only want site wide forums – once done, this removes the forum page from the bbpress template pack. I have changed my archive slug / forum base to “support” and my forum slug to “discuss”. I have created a forum and the url is as follows http://www.meetinbradford.org/support/discuss/help-using-this-website/ ?which takes me to the post, but when I try to click the breadcrumb links to get back to the “support” page, I receive this error
“ERROR: You must supply the post ID to get the image from as an argument when calling the graphene_get_post_image() function.”
Using the custom links option doesn’t work either, I have tried
http://www.meetinbradford.org/support/ and http://www.meetinbradford.org/support/discuss but none seem to work.So basically, I can get to individual forums but not the page behind it. I hope you can help.

ParticipantThe images are blurry like an image is set to progressive and then it doesn’t fully load … Could there be a setting somewhere that is interfering with the image loading fully?

MemberThanks @DJPaul for the reply, that’s what I thought as well that it worked right out of the box. I tested the groups with forums with another install I had and those would post on the activity stream. But neither install would show the blog mentions or blog comments.
Thanks again

Memberthe mobile menu is just for the mobile version of the site via the buddypress mobile plugin
I don’t want the mobile menu being ‘hidden’ from logged-out mobile users really, mainly desktop users.I’ve put some mods in the activity-loop etc for keeping activity updates, profiles and members, groups, and forum directories ‘garden-walled’ as such so may have that angle covered?

MemberOk, I got rid of the unwanted text (removed it from the bb-config.php file), but I’m still unable to assign forum posts to groups. Any suggestions?

KeymasterIt should just work out of the box. The bbPress activity stream support is included inside bbPress, so maybe it is not being loaded. I’ll ping @johnjamesjacoby to see if he has seen the problem before.

ParticipantI’ve just tried the following on a bp test site instead of the single menu and it worked
`
<?php
if ( is_user_logged_in() ) {
wp_nav_menu( array( ‘container’ => false, ‘menu_id’ => ‘nav’, ‘theme_location’ => ‘primary’, ‘fallback_cb’ => ” ) );
} else {
wp_nav_menu( array( ‘container’ => false, ‘menu_id’ => ‘nav’, ‘theme_location’ => ‘secondary-menu’, ‘fallback_cb’ => ” ) );
}
?>
`nb: The test site is also using the walled garden technique…

ParticipantHow nice would it be if someone could start a topic that looked just like a status update from facebook whether it be about a video/picture/topics and then people could just comment on it the same way people comment in a group on buddypress. Then you could show a list of the trending (last commented) topics in a widget and it’s perfect.

ParticipantDoes that work with your 1.5 site? I activated the sub plugin for it and it didn’t change anything for me. We’re talking about Topics for Forums right? It actually turns the topic stream into an activity feed for you?

ParticipantThe BP Group Forum Extras plugin enabled the ability to have activity replies to comments in forum topics show up. It’s not officially supported any more but I use it because it’s the only way I can respond to forum topics in a threaded fashion (I’m the instructor in an online class and need to be able to respond in that fashion, not just at the bottom). I think it’s going to be integrated with bbpress at some point, it does the job for now

ParticipantYep, I’ve also noticed this. I expect there is a very easy way to fix this.
Gonna talk to my developer now and will report back.
If anyone has an idea in the meantime, let me know!
