Hi

Like many people I’m after having nested fields…

I thought that this might be the solution http://wordpress.org/plugins/fields-framework/

Since it had a way of putting fields into groups..and well nesting those groups.

Would it be possible to take the code and integrate it into buddypress or http://wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress-xprofile-custom-fields-type/

The code in question from what I can work out from the fields-framework plugin is…

It also features in builder but not able to work out the coding….

Idea of putting fields into groups and then nesting them, might be the way forward..

If that could then be combined with the conditional fields plugin, might then be onto a winner…

Sorry, I know zero about php coding, but I hope I might point someone onto the way…..

hello to all,

I expose my problem: when you look at the profile of a user (profile – view) there is a table with the field displayed.
the vertical line that divides the description of the user field moves and also the field move towards the right. in almost all users is displayed differently based on fields that have compiled.

probably there are “Auto” which are a bit what they want

I use the theme RTPANEL (RTCAMP)

how can I fix??

I’m trying to figure out how to do something with profiles in buddypress and wondered if you would be able to assist.

I’m a novice with all the buddypress coding btw…..

I’ve downloaded the buddypress xtended fields plugin.

What I’m after is the following.
each of the numbers are different levels…

1 Select game type
Options would be MMORPG, FPS, Other.

If other is selected then subject to admin approval it be added as an extra option.

2 Select Game name
So for MMORPG you would have Neverwinter, DDO, Marvel, Other.
Again if other is selected then subject to admin aprroval it be added as an extra option.

FPS and the others would have different options.

3) Account Name 1 + Additional account
If additional account is selected then it would display Account 2 etc up to say a max of 10.

4) Number of characters.+ additonal character

5) Character Name – text field entry.
Class – Drop down field of say 5 options + other
Race – Drop down field of 5 options + other
level – number 1 to 60
Date last updated.

there is a plugin about conditional fields, but not sure if this can handle this? Also I shall look at doing a spreadsheet that might show better what im after.

Hey guys, me again!

I’m using a plugin called BuddyPress xProfiles ACL (which is great) to allow certain user roles to edit information in users profile fields (I don’t want the individual users to have access to make these changes).

This works great, but it also allows these user roles to read through other users private messages, change avatars, settings etc.

I’d like to make it that my managers can log in (front end) and change their authorised profile fields for other users (NOTHING ELSE).

I don’t mind admin having access to all, but not anyone else.

Please can you tell me how to set this up?

I would like to create a field group where the field information is only visible to that particular user, administrator and a custom role (managers).

As this will contain personal financial information, I don’t want any other site members seeing it. But it’s important that my selected user roles and individual user see it.

Any ideas?

How can I change the link of the ‘Change Avatar’ button so that it directs users to the settings page (where they can change their profile information).

I am now using the Xprofile fields image upload on registration for the avatars, so original avatar settings are useless.

Also, I’d like to change wording to ‘Change Photo” rather that ‘Avatar’

Otherwise if this is too tricky, I’ll just hide/remove the button.

this is freaking me out. I need a plugin, such as “BP profile search” (you can add custom
profile fields which the member at the front end can search for) with the possibility to add dynamic drop down menus. example:

drop down menu 1 :
– main category 1 (selected)
– main category 2

drop down menu 2 (child):
– subcategory 1 for main category 1
– subcategory 2 for main category 1

Is there such a plugin somewhere? I need that dynamic drop down to finish my project.
I tried to add it by myself. But my javascrip skills are too bad.

I really hope you can help me out!!
