There is a bug with blank page for the registration page, user profile edit page etc. etc. if theme contains ‘theme.json’ file but no ‘templates/index.html’ file (not block theme)
It can be fixed by adding this code into your ‘functions.php’ file or in the ‘after_theme_setup’ hook:
remove_theme_support( 'block-templates' );
We have spend almost two days to manage this problem.

Same problem with over 30 themes from ThemeForest, e.g. REHUB Theme.
I am having the same issue with BuddyPress and the Divi theme. None of the BuddyPress pages are visible. Need to roll back to the previous version.
No matching template found or blank template page. Version 10.5.0
Latest WordPress Version with Latest Theme Version.
@javigandia About the Kadence theme (at least), it will be resolved very soon, see the #8757 ticket on our Trac environment.
I believe the patch/PR attached to this ticket might also fix Elementor, @kleb123 can you check it?
10.6.0 will be released asap.
hi. The new update has issues with the ExS theme however I reached out to them for a fix. Just popping in incase it’s important because i seen what you said 😋
Hi @adjunkten
Thanks a lot for your post!! I was beginning to be anxious seeing all these template loading issues.
@javigandia I’ll check the Kadence theme
Just realized that this issue occurs when BP Nouveau is selected as a theme engine, on legacy everything is fine.
Hello and thank you for your work on this plugin!
I use Buddypress with a theme, Neve, which requires a few display settings, for example centering the values (Newest, Oldest, Alphabetical) in the filters (for directories of members, groups, in groups, etc. .). To do this, I take the element ID and apply text-align:center to it in Additional CSS and it works. When looking for the ID of one of these elements in a group, for the group member list, I realized that there was none. So, on the one hand I can’t center it, on the other hand, as mentioned in the post “Sort function in groups not working”, this filter does not work, maybe because of this missing ID.
In my configuration, I had not activated the Activity part, and by doing so, the ID appears (groups_members-order-by), it is only without the Activity feed (and therefore when the Home page of the group contains the members) that the ID is missing and therefore inoperative.
I just updated to 10.5.0 and it still does.
WordPress 6.0.3
Wish there is a way to fix this and keep Activity disabled 🙂
PS: topic already posted but blocked/deleted because of links and images (?)
I just updated to 10.5 and tested user registration with no issues – members and groups pages also OK.
I use the theme BuddyX.
My site is an intranet of an organization and as I have told you Mathieu I use the Kadence theme, with the alternative wordpress theme it works, but obviously I cannot change the theme due to the work involved.
Thank you very much for your work and I hope you can help me. Greetings.

Hi @javigandia
It’s very difficult to help you with so few information.
What’s your theme name and URL where it can be downloaded?
What’s your setup ? Multisite ? Do you have specific constants related to BuddyPress set into your wp-config.php ?
Apologies, after some additional testing, it appears that this issue is linked to the Divi theme. On a fresh install, and by removing Divi from the mix entirely, it appears the conflict is Divi/BP. Thanks again!
Thanks for the recent update – I really appreciate all of the work the BP team does to make sure this tool is supported.
However, I’ve noticed several themes are not compatible with the recent update, breaking the register/login and activity/members/groups on other themes.
So far, I’ve pinpointed this issue to non-FSE themes, including two BP -specific themes from ThemeForest. My sites work fine if I switch to an Automattic theme, but I’ve tried at least 10 themes that are non-FSE that won’t display BP pages.
More concerningly is the error on Divi “No matching template found” for all BP-based pages. I have several sites that are Divi/BP, and there’s a pretty large community on FB groups that seems to be having a similar issue. All of my Divi sites are also MU so that could be an issue, but I’ve reached out to two other people with the same issue.
I’ve deactivated all other plugins, and it’s definitely the new BP update by process of elimination.
Appreciate any guidance. Thanks again for all you do!
Disabling all other plug-ins other then buddy press returns the same thing. Issue occurs with both 2020 and 2021 theme
Hi I believe it’s a theme issue and advise you to contact the support team of your theme to understand the issue.
If you want to be sure it’s a theme issue, activate any other WordPress default theme like Twenty Twenty-Two, you should see the registration form is displayed into this theme.
If not, then it’s probably another plugin conflicting with BuddyPress, deactivate each plugin one by one and when the registration form is back, you’ll have found the problematic plugin.
All this was written into this sticky topic…
Have you tried deactivating all your plugins (except BuddyPress of course) + activate any WordPress default theme + define( 'WP_DEBUG', true )
+ search your error log file ? Doing so, if the issue is still there, then it’s a BuddyPress issue, otherwise it’s probably another plugin or a theme issue.
@fanvid really nice post, in fact the best I’ve read so far IMO, you also said that elgg has image posting, where? The file plugin? Apart form having likes and hashtag support, it’s kindda the same. Plus the hard thing about elgg is their codding standards, very hard to implement stuff and to design a great theme, BP is way easier in that regard. Just my two cents about it.
I agree 100% that BP should start over, fresh. Don’t try to copy WordPress with the blocks and stuff, just release it with basic social features and make a plugin market right here only for BP.

I’m not sure which theme you are using.
You should have a option Theme Activation.
It will give you option to paste a active license key. Or under the license key box. It should say something like. “Create a token to get new license key.”
You will need to be registered to that themes website where you purchased it from.
Once you click on generate token. It will give you option to check few boxes. Make sure you check all the boxes regarding the purchase on that theme.
After it will give you new key. Paste it in and save changes.
Hope this helps.
