@dsmndwng Based on the HTML structure of your theme, you’d need to use the first option, i.e., change 16 template files within the 6 BP folders transferred to your TheStyle theme folder in server during the compatibility process.

If you’ve previously changed any of the BP template files in your theme folder, replace all of them for a clean slate by deleting the 6 BP folders in server – /activity, /blogs, /forums, /groups, /members, and /registration – then re-run Appearance > BP Compatibility.

Download the 6 clean BP folders to your computer hard drive.

A. At the top of each of those 16 template files I linked to above, replace

If you made a child theme just target the #header in your style.css and use something like this:

Just replace the URL with the URL to the image you uploaded in your dashboard/media/library.

If you edited bp default.css which you should never do because it can be done in a child theme which future proofs it to some degree and over-rides the default.css anyway. Then I would suggest just opening the buddypress.1.5.5.zip (or whatever version you have). Just copy the file from buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/_inc/css/default.css and replace with the one on your server in /wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/_inc/css/default.css

Did you change it in the dashboard/Appearance/Header, or in the style.css of your theme, or both? If so that could be your problem.

@faithcoach first of all, you’re using a theme which needs to be updated to recommended coding standards 🙂

At this point however, we will proceed with the original tags in your template files. Based on the HTML structure of your theme, you’d need to use the first option, i.e., change 16 template files within the 6 BP folders transferred to your WP DaVinci theme folder in server during the compatibility process.

@faithcoach where’s the code for your theme’s page.php? And what is the name of your theme and/or URI of the theme?

Back up your current registration/register.php then download register.php from link above and upload to your theme’s /registration/ folder. If that doesn’t work, I suggest deactivating BuddyPress and BP plugins then changing to Twenty Eleven theme. Check if registration is working on WordPress alone.

@faithcoach what WP theme are you currently using? Theme demo url?
Open up that theme’s header.php file, copy all code, paste in pastebin.com, click submit and post generated URI here. Do the same for the theme’s footer.php, sidebar.php, index.php and sidebar.php

Ok so it looks like it isn’t a theme issue then although I do still see a BP plugin running? ‘bp-groups’?
If that is still running please deactivate it and test again.
