ParticipantB. At the bottom of the same 16 files, replace:
`
`
with the following (except for registration/register.php):
``
with the following for registration/register.php:
`jQuery(document).ready( function() {
if ( jQuery(‘div#blog-details’).length && !jQuery(‘div#blog-details’).hasClass(‘show’) )
jQuery(‘div#blog-details’).toggle();
jQuery( ‘input#signup_with_blog’ ).click( function() {
jQuery(‘div#blog-details’).fadeOut().toggle();
});
});`
Save files.
C. Upload the 6 BP folders containing the 16 files you revised up to your server wp-content/themes/thestyle/
D. You might also want to check out the style modifications made in BP Twenty Ten for reference especially with removing the bullets and bringing in the extended width of the BP elements. https://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/theme-dev-bp-template-pack-walkthrough-twenty-ten-bp-1-5/3/
E. If you want to go the extra mile – In each of 16 files, you might want to change the BP Templates’ page title’s header tag from `
.. .
` or `
…
` to:
`//the respective page titles of the 16 template files//
`
Just watch out when you do this in the /activity/index.php page template.March 29, 2012 at 5:08 pm #132130@mercime
Participant@dsmndwng Based on the HTML structure of your theme, you’d need to use the first option, i.e., change 16 template files within the 6 BP folders transferred to your TheStyle theme folder in server during the compatibility process.
If you’ve previously changed any of the BP template files in your theme folder, replace all of them for a clean slate by deleting the 6 BP folders in server – /activity, /blogs, /forums, /groups, /members, and /registration – then re-run Appearance > BP Compatibility.
Download the 6 clean BP folders to your computer hard drive.
A. At the top of each of those 16 template files I linked to above, replace
``with
``March 29, 2012 at 4:26 pm #132128dsmndwng
MemberHere you go. I really appreciate the help.
Header: http://pastebin.com/RpSr9DUv
Page: http://pastebin.com/qFNznwLB
Footer: http://pastebin.com/09qDHju0
Sidebar: http://pastebin.com/FgaPG6be
Index: http://pastebin.com/D4L6FE6rMarch 29, 2012 at 2:39 pm #1321259087877
InactiveIf you made a child theme just target the #header in your style.css and use something like this:
`#header {
background-image: url(http://yourdomain.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/logo.gif);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
}`
Just replace the URL with the URL to the image you uploaded in your dashboard/media/library.If you edited bp default.css which you should never do because it can be done in a child theme which future proofs it to some degree and over-rides the default.css anyway. Then I would suggest just opening the buddypress.1.5.5.zip (or whatever version you have). Just copy the file from buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/_inc/css/default.css and replace with the one on your server in /wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/_inc/css/default.css
Hope this helps!March 29, 2012 at 1:43 pm #132122Etienne ROSENSTIEHL
ParticipantI made many changes. I probably did both. Now you know the problem, do you know a solution ?
(I use a very basic structure : WordPress, BussyPress, bd-default theme and Private BuddyPress.)March 29, 2012 at 1:18 pm #132121enderpal444
ParticipantStill havent figured this out and would LOVE an answer. From what I can tell the comment form only has 3 custom functions in the bp-default functions.php and I removed all the filters in my child theme funtions.php but they don’t remove and I don’t get it. Help me @boonebgorges

InactiveDid you change it in the dashboard/Appearance/Header, or in the style.css of your theme, or both? If so that could be your problem.

Participant@faithcoach first of all, you’re using a theme which needs to be updated to recommended coding standards ๐
At this point however, we will proceed with the original tags in your template files. Based on the HTML structure of your theme, you’d need to use the first option, i.e., change 16 template files within the 6 BP folders transferred to your WP DaVinci theme folder in server during the compatibility process.

Participant@faithcoach where’s the code for your theme’s page.php? And what is the name of your theme and/or URI of the theme?

Member@mercime I have done what you mentioned, deactivate BP and plugins and change to Twenty eleven theme and the registration page still the same as it is, not change.
What i discover is that on the admin Plugin page, there is a plugin which is deactivated by default by WP due to a invalid header. besides that, i don;t have anything elses… What can i do.
I don;t make to send you my WP admin login to help me see what went wrong..Thanks

MemberAwesome, thanks. Is there a way to have the BP pages go full width? Right now all of them have sidebar active and it’s cutting it shorter than I would like.
Thanks again!
March 28, 2012 at 10:57 pm #132094In reply to: [Resolved] Is this the correct Registration Page?
@mercime
ParticipantThis is the original registration form from bp-default theme https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/browser/tags/1.5.5/bp-themes/bp-default/registration/register.php
Back up your current registration/register.php then download register.php from link above and upload to your theme’s /registration/ folder. If that doesn’t work, I suggest deactivating BuddyPress and BP plugins then changing to Twenty Eleven theme. Check if registration is working on WordPress alone.

Participant@faithcoach what WP theme are you currently using? Theme demo url?
Open up that theme’s header.php file, copy all code, paste in pastebin.com, click submit and post generated URI here. Do the same for the theme’s footer.php, sidebar.php, index.php and sidebar.phpMarch 28, 2012 at 9:30 pm #132083In reply to: Buddypress Dashboard Gone
nbetlow@datexcorp.com
MemberNo, Buddypress is running as a sub-domain, the inital admin panel only reflects the primary theme.

ParticipantOk so it looks like it isn’t a theme issue then although I do still see a BP plugin running? ‘bp-groups’?
If that is still running please deactivate it and test again.If issue is still evident – as I think it will be – and you want me to have a look then contact me on the email addie I left on the ticket and we can discuss.

MemberAll plugs are inactivated and the default theme is in place. The member directory still shows multiple entries for the last few persons who joined. One of the joiners was from my isp. He saw his name listed eight times but by the next day he was only listed once! Now I have deleted him.

ParticipantBTW – I just deactivated Buddy Press, then added and activated WP Symposium, and was able to login. I really want to use your plugin; I’ve picked out a great site theme and everything, but there’s something wrong with it. Let me know if you figure it out.
