@mercime
ParticipantYou have to contact BP for Suffusion plugin and theme author about that. If you deactivate the Suffusion plugin and theme then change to bp-default theme, you’ll probably find that the issue is corrected.

MemberOne question, I see that on the Facebook like wording for the HTML5 scripts it says: “Include the JavaScript SDK on your page once, ideally right after the opening tag.”
You then use the “<div class="fb-like"" etc where ever you want the button to show.
As I am using a child theme does the above still apply?

KeymasterSounds like you have a code snippet somewhere that is attempting to do the redirect.
Look in your plugins, your theme, your theme’s functions.php or /wp-content/plugins/bp-custom.php and look for any calls to bp_core_redirect().

KeymasterThis bug is caused when javascript is disabled or when you have conflicting javascript in your theme or plugin set up.
This is fixed in the development version of the plugin:
https://github.com/r-a-y/buddypress-followers/zipball/masterNew release is scheduled to drop in the next few days pending any other bug reports.
Regardless, it would be good to spend some time to track down your javascript conflicts.

@mercime
ParticipantWhat theme are you using? Change to bp-default theme and see if issue is corrected. Could very well be that your theme needs to be updated for BP 1.5.1

@mercime
ParticipantHave you checked out theme authors’ forums http://themekraft.com/forums/ or updates as they usually post the latest updated Custom Community theme at github https://github.com/Themekraft/Custom-Community before it’s released at WordPress.org themes page
December 3, 2011 at 2:59 am #125484@mercime
ParticipantTo clarify, your upgrade is from BP 1.5 to 1.5.1 or BP 1.2.+ to BP 1.5.1?
== Does it mean that the problem is with my framework? ==
If you’re coming from BP 1.2+ to BP 1.5.1, it’s with the updated BP Template files in 6 folders which should have been transferred to your Platform theme folder, plus that you went through the installation wizard
If you’re coming from BP 1.5 to BP 1.5.1 check via admin menu BuddyPress > Pages that your Member page is associated with Page titled Members in select box. Check also that the slug is the same as the title of the page. e.g. page title = Members and slug = members not members-2 or members-3
EDIT 1 – took too long to answer. didn’t see your post @aces

EDIT 2 – Also, if you updated your Platform theme, the update might have deleted the BP template folders from your WP theme so reupload activity, blogs, forums, groups, members and registration from bp-default theme to your WP theme folder in server.

ParticipantJust waiting for things to correct themselves is probably not the best strategy.
The usual advice for blank pages is: https://codex.buddypress.org/troubleshooting/blank-pages/
https://codex.buddypress.org/releases/1-5-theme-compatibility/ suggests some tools that may help diagnose the problem.

MemberA quick and easy way to hide the credits is to go to Appearance > Theme settings and choose the css tab
add the following:.credits {display:none !important;}

Memberyep, that’s the theme. It was working with buddypress before, but no all those pages are gone. It’s very strange. Maybe something went wrong with my databases (but what do I know about databases
I might have to bring the whole website down and start from scratch, cause I like what Platform has to offer (it’s easir for someone like me, who doesn’t know what she is doing). But then again what are the guarantees that it will work correctly.Maybe I should just wait for another theme/buddypress update and hope that it would fix it.

MemberWordpress 3.2.1
Buddypress 1.5.1And the file is there. I get a page not found on the BP default theme, and the Custom Community theme I am using.

ParticipantI don’t know if i’ve found the right theme: https://wordpress.org/extend/themes/platform – if so the lastest version appears to be 1.3.9.
I’ve just downloaded it and can’t find any of the bp templates in 1.3.8 / 1.3.9 that one would expect in a bp compatible theme…..
There were quite significant changes in the last major buddypress upgrade to 1.5+ so a theme often needs to be upgraded as well

Membermercime, could you please have a look at my theme – I’ll give you admin account info. I feel so frustrated that I don’t understand why my member profiles are not displayed correctly in my theme. Maybe I could “pay you back” by placing a link to your website on mine or something.

ParticipantHi, i realise this is an old thread but since it was the first google result i thought it best to reply here and maybe someone else will benefit too.
I’m using the Custom Community theme and tried deleting all the code from the buddypress sidebar.php but the login/out/avatar are still there.
Can someone please advise on what else to do? do i copy the buddypress sidebar.php over to the Custom Community sidebar and then remove the code and if i do that will it effect anything else in the CC theme?
many thanks.
