Hi there,
I found an issue (or a bug) I am not sure.
I have a WordPress/Buddypress installation. I use Groups and each group has its own forum.
Let’s go to the problem now.
A community member creates a topic (under a Group forum) with a big Greek title
(for example: Αυτός είναι ένας εξαιρετικά μεγάλος τίτλος).Every link pointing to this topic is ok except the time link in the Activity post (which is created automatically) e.g. two minutes ago. Somehow the title is cut and the link is pointing to a page “Topics not found”
Even the “topic title” link of the same activity stream is pointing to the correct page, the problem occurs only in the time link (e.g. two minutes ago).
Maybe you could try to replicate the issue by adding as an example the title (above) to a new topic and check the activity post.
When the title (in Greek) is short e.g. two words, the issue does’t occur.

Theme: Twenty fourteenI tried to apply the section ‘B. Full Width Layout’-description for my page, where I use the ‘Reddle’-theme.
1st:
I created a new folder wp-content/themes/reddle-child.
2nd:
I created a new file buddypress.php with that content:

I uploaded all three files to the ‘reddle-child’-folder; but the sidebar is still displayed.
Vague suspection: The ‘Reddle’-equivalent for the ‘sidebar body class’ in the ‘Twenty Thirdteen’-theme is called different. – But how can I recognise, what is in the ‘Reddele’-theme the equivalent for the ‘sidebar body class’ in the ‘Twenty Thirdteen’-theme?

But it seems, all this gives me no access to the social network function of BuddyPress:
a) E.g., wenn I (using my superadmin-profile) try to do something with the BuddyPress-toolbar, e.g. sending a message, I become redirected to the login form:

You have to be logged in, for accessing the page at issue.)Within my browser adress line appears:
b) The admins of the indiviual blogs can login to their own blogs, but not not the start page of entire network.
c) As well there are buttons for making friendship nearby the avatars respec. user names.
As well there is no opportunity to post something into the activity stream.
What could be the cause of the misfunctions and how can I resolve the problem(s)?

Hi all, been a while since ive been around , i had to move house etc so i havent used buddypress or wordpress since buddypress 1.9 and wordpress 3.8.
The problem is ive just installed a fresh wordpress 4.0 and buddypress latest 2.03 on a fresh database, testing it using the default twenty twelve theme, and no other plugins.
The problem is with the hiding of activity comments, it does what it allways has done shows 5 comments then if anymore comments are added it puts the show all comments link that it is supposed to do, this also works fine and shows the hidden comments when its clicked.
However this works fine until you scroll down your page to view older posts and click the load more tab at the bottom. upon clicking it and scrolling down further to a post that has more than 5 comments they all remain visible instead of hidden? so say if there are 100 replies you have to scroll past them all? any ideas as to why this maybe happening?
I have tested this on 5 different wordpress installs now with nothing more than wordpress/buddypress/twenty twelve theme/twenty thirteen and twenty fourteen themes, with fresh databases and no other plugins on each site :/
Not sure, if I ask this in the right forum, it’s kinda combined question.
I’d like to guide new members and show them, what my website offers. This preferably happens on the website itself, where they can see it instantly. As of my limited knowledge there are these ways to do this:
1. Redirect the user to a landing page with a “tutorial” right after their first login.
I’d like that best, but I’m kinda new to this hole thing and don’t know, how to achieve this…2. Use the Welcome Pack plugin
http://wordpress.org/plugins/welcome-pack/ This has a lot features to welcome new user, but it seems to be a really old plugin and I’m not sure, if it is still works, if it is still supported and if it will be supported in the future. Kinda risky…3. Send a detailed “Tutorial Mail” after registration
Again, I would prefer to guide the user right on the website, but if i could add a message like “hey, you’ve got a tutorial mail” right after the registration and somehow send a automatic mail to the given user, I guess this would be a alternative.So over all, I’d like the approach of point 1 the most. If anyone could help a beginner out here, I’d give him/her a huge hug!
