Participanton the buddypress default theme, at the top of the right hand column, there is a box that includes your avatar, a link to your profile and a logout button.
When you click on the link to your profile, it takes you to your profile tab on your profile page.
I would like it to take me to my Activity tab, on my profile page.August 20, 2012 at 5:41 am #139826sweetmelody
Participant@mercime Just posted there, are you having the same issue too? Thanks!
August 19, 2012 at 11:56 pm #139820August 19, 2012 at 11:42 pm #139818@mercime
Participant@raminjan please know that BP plugins created 2 years ago which have not been updated to recent BP 1.6 won’t work and will likely cause issues in your installation.
August 19, 2012 at 11:38 pm #139817@mercime
Participant@kooba ==remove the list background in the BP template files== ?? How to do it??
I mean removing the small circular images with arrows within, the default style of your theme’s unordered lists. In link D above, copy the styles and then paste it at the bottom of your theme’s style.css file.
August 19, 2012 at 11:30 pm #139816In reply to: horizontal alignment of menu is off
@mercime
ParticipantThis issue could be related to your other topic https://buddypress.org/community/groups/how-to-and-troubleshooting/forum/topic/whats-new-textbox-is-a-hyperlink-from-the-activity-page-to-the-activity-page-cycle-wierd/
Since your layout in 2nd install on a test domain is working fine, have you tried re-uploading the Modular_BuddyPress_Child_Theme folder/files to your server manually wp-content/themes/modular/
August 19, 2012 at 11:19 pm #139815@mercime
Participant@travcentralen Your custom theme needs to be updated for BP 1.6. To confirm, change to bp-default theme and check if issue is resolved.

@mercime
Participant@raminjan are you referring to the BuddyPress LIke plugin which hasn’t been updated since 2010 or something else?

@mercime
Participant@mumbaipav initial scan of your theme’s source code looks like you only need to create two files to complate Step 3 of the BP Compatibility process. Open up your theme’s header.php file, copy all code, paste in pastebin.com, click submit and post the generated URI here. Do the same for index.php, page.php, sidebar.php and footer.php

August 19, 2012 at 10:23 pm #139807In reply to: Register page not working
@mercime
Participant== Once a user enters all the fields and click “Complete Sign up” it just comes back to the same page with no error message. Register in BP-Default Theme works. ==
@igid26 what theme are you using? Has it been updated for BP 1.6?
August 19, 2012 at 10:21 pm #139805In reply to: [Resolved] bp-default theme, profile to activity
@mercime
Participant== there is the constant profile button on every page. ==
@hkcharlie not quite sure what you mean except that every avatar goes to specific member’s profile page. If your adminbar is enabled for logged in members, they can easily go to their activity page with dropdown link in adminbar.
August 19, 2012 at 10:18 pm #139804@mercime
Participant@tdano per error, it’s due to the user registration aide plugin. In that plugin’s defense, there’s nothing in the plugin’s docs which state it is compatible with BuddyPress at all. Feel free to contact plugin dev at https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/user-registration-aide/ Support tab

@mercime
Participant@charlietech is this happening even with bp-default theme and all plugins deactivated except BuddyPress? Or with a custom theme or plugins which have not been updated to latest BP version?

ModeratorJust to confirm, the post goes from the list of group activity when you refresh? If that is the case have you tried using (if you can) the BuddyPress default theme – does it do the same thing? Have you any scripting errors on your page for instance JavaScript? Something could be also causing issues like plugins but lets take it step by step.
August 19, 2012 at 8:31 pm #139792In reply to: how to hide admin activity on Buddypress activity?
Roger Coathup
ParticipantDo you want to prevent admin activities being created in the first place, or just stop them displaying on certain screens?
If you want to stop them being displayed (and you are comfortable writing SQL) you can add a filter on bp_activity_get_user_join_filter, and modify the where clause to exclude the admin user id
If you want to stop them being created, you could add a hook on bp_activity_add, and delete the activity if the user_id is the admin id.
