ParticipantWP 3.3.2 and BP 1.5.5 require at least PHP 5.2.4 among others listed here https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/before-installing/#system-server

MemberHi
Yeah, I tried different combinations of those lines. I then made everything as the tutorial stated when I posted yes-today. Now it looks like this.
http://pastebin.com/dtEyTY84
which produces this errorParse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/t/e/ftp_teamrampagedk/wp-content/themes/ifeaturepro/groups/index.php on line 131

ParticipantTo start off, delete the styles you added in your stylesheet for `.item .item-meta ` – the absolute positioning placed the activity meta over the names of the groups and members
Copy over the styles used https://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/theme-dev-bp-template-pack-walkthrough-twenty-ten-bp-1-5/3/ and adjust to taste.

Participant@gggamers something’s getting lost in translation. WP/BP versions? Did you go through the Installation Wizard and choose settings other than default permalink, among others? What theme are you using? Change to bp-default and check if issue is corrected.

ParticipantI did find that mentioning myself is a workaround. That way when I view Your Activity/Mentions I can see my Topics that I mention myself in.
I did see the link under the upper right Profile dropdown menu an item “Forums/Topics Started” but it is empty even though I started Topics.

ParticipantOkay, I did that. I still don’t see how to find topics that I created, or how to make them favorites or receive an email when someone responds (if that is possible).

MemberI managed to fix the issue with the sidebar. I just had to move the call function for the sidebar outside the div tag and it seems to work now..
Still trying to figure out what I need to do to change the CSS and only effect the buddypress part of the template though..

MemberHi
I was (still am, but now also frustrated) thrilled to find this walk through of how to set up buddypress on ifeaturepro’s theme.
I have follow these steps twice, with the same result – some fatal error.
You can see the result here http://teamrampage.dk/grupper-pa-team-rampage/
and the code here http://pastebin.com/3nyACcj9Could you shed some light on what the issue is here?
Thx in advance

ParticipantDue to some ongoing changes in the backend, make sure that your name input in this section https://buddypress.org/community/members/elangley/profile/edit/group/1/ is different from your username

Sounds like this is a bug from the redesign – https://buddypress.org/community/groups/requests-feedback/forum/topic/buddypress-org-refresh-issues/?topic_page=2&num=15May 5, 2012 at 5:43 pm #133989In reply to: BuddyPress as Commenting system
@ChrisClayton
Participant@eric-johnson – Their is no photo uploading functionality (except for an avatar) packaged within the BuddyPress plugin, but – while it doesn’t intergrate with the comments (i think we’ve established that BP Doesn’t provide a disqus-like product, but instead provides an extensible and unique social experience for your site, right?) I personally use and recommend the BP Albums plugin. https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bp-album/
An alternative is @sbrajesh‘s BP-Gallery plugin – http://buddydev.com/plugins/bp-gallery/

@ChrisClayton
ParticipantI believe his referring to their source code.
https://svn.bettercodes.org/bettercodes/trunk/bettercodes/As seen here: http://bettercodes.org/labs
The version currently advertised (1.0), is for a (very) old version of BuddyPress and while i haven’t used it lately, it doesn’t look like it’s been updated.

Member@mercime Thanks again for the help!
It’s looking tonnes better now.
There is one issue that the widgets are still showing up in the main content instead of in the right sidebar – http://progressivetalks.com/activity
is there something else I need to edit to get this working? I have the widget logic plugin so I can specify where I want widgets (there are some specific widgets I want in buddypress) but I must still need to define this sidebar in the buddypress pages or?
Also, just in terms of the final step of styling.. Just to clarify, I should copy the code supplied in the template tutorial and then modify that? I need to learn CSS so I am going through it, but is this the step where I can copy some of the styling over from Frisco?
Would it be a matter of just getting the styling from Frisco and copying into my style.css?

I’m using this plugin: https://buddypress.org/community/groups/buddypress-usernames-only/
Works great.

MemberI have managed to repair it myself. I have installed buddypress as a plugin for our members in a domain http://www.domain.com/members. When it was going to the usual buddypress member’s admin page domain.com/members/members it could not find it. I changed the name of the standard bp ‘members’ page to ‘subscribers’ and it solved the problem.
Strange bug, perhaps could be fixed with the next update.
Thank you for the reply.
