actually, everything was fine while I’ve been testing WP 3.1.5 BP 1.2.8. (it means jquery 1.3.2 in code and 1.4.4 in WP), PROBABLY, issue is not in external/internal jquery, but in changes of later versions, 1.6.1 in our case (this is what I have found https://buddypress.org/community/groups/how-to-and-troubleshooting/forum/topic/how-to-have-comment-and-replies-collapse-and-expand/?topic_page=5&num=15#post-103151). And now older versions from our child themes (who uses external jquery) have conflict with internal 1.6.1.

@boonebgorges I have just tried everything out on the same install with ALL plugins still ACTIVE but this time using the default theme and everything is okay.

I take it that it is now something in my theme causing the issue.

Would I be right to assume with it working in BP Default that my plugins are all okay to keep using? It isn’t those causing the issue but my theme? I do have an accordion that uses JS I think. It works but maybe causing a conflict?

if you do not use this tutorial, or plugin from the same author, check all other plugins, which use jquery.

@janismo I too get the filter dropdowns in the groups/ forums/ members/ activity etc doing nothing now in BP 1.2.9

Got a developer looking at it now.

Hopefully we’ll find the cause!

I update to WordPress 3.2, but the update of buddypress is not available. I do a search from plugins and i updatee from popup.

ilokano, try to put the default theme of wordpress and try the wordpress admin, i have the same probleme when i use my theme.

Maybe because we don’t have WP multisite installation , and this plugin requires that , but you are right , I forgot that this plugin should do the work .

please, create some topic like “wp 3.2 bp 1.2.9″, so that people could see all the possible issues in one place. Users start to create new topics for every noted problem and it is quite hard to follow.

Is that related to BP? Have you disabled BP and tested without it?

Which reply button? Which version of BuddyPress?

I try add new post, add an Image… and fail!
1. Try click “Add an Image”, load froma PC, Other Sites or Media Library
2. Click “Show” – and nothing…
After all actions blocked. While not reload the page.

The link 4ella gave for the front-end post form at BuddyDev is in a premium forum, you need to be a subscriber to the site to gain access. I am a member (so is 4ella) and can attest that the plugins, themes, code snippets and help that the site owner provides is nothing less than extraordinary. The front-end post form that he is working on should allow posting to the main blog, the user’s own blog(s), as well as groups the user is a member of. It should also support custom post types/taxonomies. A beta of the plugin should be released within the next few days.

You could also check out Quick Post Widget which supports custom taxonomies. The latest version is shortcode enabled so you can add the post form in any post/page.

Holy crap! I fixed it myself! In case anybody wants to know, I found the buddypress-trac pages and did this:

replaced: parent::WPDB( $dbuser, $dbpassword, $dbname, $dbhost );
with: parent::__construct( $dbuser, $dbpassword, $dbname, $dbhost );

I can at least get into the admin now. We’ll see what else is messed up now.
