Thank you aces, I’ll talk to them anyway and shout a little. 
increased memory in the wp-config.php, I included this line at the beginning of the php
`define (‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘256M’);`
also tried with 500MB and nothing happens…the errors still occur.

1and1 is notorious for their memory issues – you need to talk to them.
I have had a problem with them in the UK but their new uk packages are supposed to come with 90 meg and this is supposed to apply to their older (equivalent) uk packages but tech support told me today that there is a glitch that they’re looking into.
It’s winding me up seeing that 1and1 appear to have increased the memory limit to 90 meg available (I can see it set – by them – within wordpress) but it isn’t working yet….
I don’t know if that applies to the spanish 1and1 though….
EDIT: I’ve just had a look at http://1and1.es and it’s their uk equivalent ‘dual’ hosting service i’m refering to
my host is 1&1, I got the pack with 2 domains and 5 databases
Sounds like you’ve tried the right thing (https://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP). Try allocating more than 64Mb, or ask your host for help.
Glad it’s working for you now. Buddypress does seem to alter code a bit.

use the plugin i just provided instead that plugin u provided will not be updated for buddypress 1.3

check_is_admin() is using Group ID as second variable, $activity->item_id IS actually Group ID if $activity->component is ‘groups’, its the way BuddyPress store activity in database.
I’m using custom theme aswell, but I haven’t overrided ajax file.
Could you try to switch back to default theme for a moment and check if you will be able to delete activity from groups?
Also, to check if changes applied took place and are working you could add some echo before that access check in ajax files like
`echo ‘AJAX WORKING’`
and then use browser debug tool, for instance select “Inspect Element” in Chrome, select “Network” and after you press “Delete” link – there should be new request in “Network” to the file which actually is trying to delete activity. Select it and check repsonse body – if you see ‘AJAX WORKING’ there it will mean that the file you’ve modified is working.

I just solved. There seems to be a problem with buddypress copy/paste system. I just “retyped” the code, and it’s working like a charm. Thank you for your time.

I’m having the same issue! My index.php was overwritten with what I’ve found is the buddypress forums/index.php page… so I’ve tried reverting to my original index.php (by deleting the BP code and pasting my original template code in)… and it’s not reflecting changes I’m making to the code on the front end. So, I figure it’s still referring to that original index file… somewhere! And it’s displaying something else within the WP Theme Editor.
I also installed the BP and BP template pack plugins to try and integrate them with an existing theme that I’ve already done a lot of work on, it’s not a specific BP theme.
Eeeek! If anyone can help, that’d be much appreciated. And I promise to be indebted to you forever and extoll your virtues to anyone who’ll listen. 
@smiranda there is a backend group management plugin that Admins can use to physically put members into groups
@svenl77 – Happy to have your team on board. Something as easy as moving the `get_sidebar()` calls into the footer makes sense to me. Would seem an easy patch and reduce some duplication.
I’m opposed to hosting anything anywhere else (github) for the simple fact it further fragments development. We have Trac, and we have BuddyPress.org. Unless there’s a coup d’état and mutiny abounds us, no sense in moving that code somewhere else and possibly losing out on the eyes that are already here.
Now if you want to setup your own git repo, and chip away at something until you’re comfortable with the end result, and then provide an SVN diff to put back into core, obviously something like that is fine.

Yeah, I tried this too. I need the twitter feed to be sent as soon as the post has been created. Its not something that the user actually types out a message. Its weird and hard to explain. But I am basically looking for:
I create a post and that post is submitted to my twitter feed. My friend “jeff” writes a post and that post is submitted to his twitter feed. I am thinking that this isn’t possible. Or just not yet.
