Topic: Banned user can still reply
As the title states, banned users of public groups can still reply to activity updates. I’m not sure if my install is bugged, however all the times I’ve used and installed buddypress it’s been this way. How can I increase the effect of Banning to disallow banned users from replying to comments?
Hey I need help ! I have a Blog up I installed BuddyPress everything seem s to work OK ,but I when I activated the registration, I got nothing when i tried a test reg. I added a auto responder to my cpanel and now I got that end of it but where is the reg input that “Buddy” collected?
pardon my noobishness regarding this issue. I’m learning this stuff for the first time.
Currently I have a WP site with a phpbb3 forum.
My goal is to end up with a WP site with Buddypress installed and bbpress installed under BP.I”ve got a web developer that can convert my phpbb3 dbase over to a bbpress dbase, but that would be a for bbpress under WP.
Here is my question.
Do I: 1) install bbpress 2) have conversion done 3) Install BuddyPress 4) setup forum using existing bbpress option
OR
1) install bbpress 2) have conversion done 3) uninstall bbpress 4) Install BuddyPress 5) install bbpress plugin inside BP and then use existing bbpress optionThe only threads I can find are relating to the way it had to be done way back. Is there still a difference between bbpress installed under WP and bbpress installed under BP?
I want to run bbpress under BP and use forums for groups.
But from all the old threads I’ve read, there were differences between bbpress under WP and bbpress under BP.
If thats the case, what do I need to do to convert a bbpress dbase so that I can use bbpress under BP?Topic: Buddypress group forums
Under Group Forums I would like to make it so only The Group Admin can make topics, but only for certain groups maybe a check box setting under the group forum setting, or even if I have to mess with some buddypress files for just certain groups I choose until a better solution is available any ideas? I would like to use it for my website at http://the-free-world.org
Hi, can I legally change an entire Buddypress theme into another language?
Also, would this be allowed for Buddypress plugins? Or should I contact each respective developer before proceeding?

I’m relatively new to the world of BuddyPress and have a question that is mostly concerning site plumbing.
I have installed BuddyPress on a subdomain of my main site (community.mysite.com) and am attempting to make it so that when a user creates a new blog it is stored in a subfolder (community.mysite.com/userblog). After doing a little research I installed and activated a multi-network plugin (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/networks-for-wordpress/). I then created a new network (“Community Blogs” with the domain, “community.mysite.com”) where the blogs would be stored.
I have seen this done elsewhere, so I know it is possible, I just need a bit of help to get started. Right now when you visit “community.mysite.com/blogs” you see all of the sites on the entire WordPress Install (including test sites on the main network, etc.).
Is there a way for BuddyPress to only list the sites created in the other network? But more importantly, how to I get BuddyPress to create new blogs on a separate network?
