ModeratorTry step 3 http://www.buddyboss.com/how-to-edit-pomo-language-files-in-buddypress-plugins/
You also need to have both the same BP language file and the WP language file.

ParticipantGuys did you notice I had logged a bug for this earlier in this thread? https://trac.buddypress.org/ticket/2779 It appears someone else checked-in a fix as well. Not sure if they’re going to step on each other so you may want to check.

Is there a way we can stretch the content of the page so there are no gaps on the sides?
It seems like wasted space.Thank you

MemberI know this thread’s 8 months old but this would be an excellent feature. Not generating badges for other SN sites (as buddypress-badge does), but something to label users with status in the community, a bit like scout badges…

Participantthanks for response, but have to conclude that your method does not work for me. `$sharetrans = __(‘Share’, ‘bpsi’);` is something completely new for me, so I tried to add .po/.mo files to language folder, to main folder, tried to rename language folder to languages, tried to change your compatir in bpsi-es_ES, nothing helps, still word “Share”.
what is the method./idea to get it done? maybe you could show me example of load_textdomain/_e/__ for one string and I will change remaining manually?another issue is that my theme body is 90% and now I see that share container in groups is not fully displayed = it ends on the middle of button “email”…is it known issue?
thanks a lot!

ParticipantHiya teach!
Definitely going to have to rethink Bp-WP-Navbar for the next update. For now though, I’m concentrating on learning some more basics to get my BP theme framework finished. You can see the support site built with it here: http://buddylite.com/

Participant@dexxx.stk There is a Buddypress Jobs Board ( a bit hidden.. ), your project might get more interest there.

ParticipantI have installed it and it seems to be ok with everything except the fact that on my header appears the following text>
When I am on the Home page (main URL) the error is > Component = Null Action = Null
It changes as I open other pages…
When I go to Members page > Component = members Action = Null
When I go to Groups page > Component = groups Action = Null
And after opening a Group page > Component = groups Action = homeCan someone tell me what is this and how to correct?
Thanks a lot!

If anyone can point me to directions on this please email me at ryanmlanane @gmail.com

MemberOh. Pooh. Just when I thought I had my site settled. hahaha. Maybe i’ll give myself a week to get up the courage to update Citizen Kane. BTW I “borrowed” the code that puts the login into the sidebar into my first Woo Themes to BP theme conversion and it ALMOST works perfectly.

MemberYeah, at the moment we are using the answers to these questions to grab content based on their gender, location, and category preferences — we match what they give us to WP categories and any meta-keys in the content we can match.

KeymasterWhat are you going to use the extra usermeta for? If you just need an easy way to store and retrieve some data about individual users, then using BP xprofile fields is really the easiest way to go – they can be created in the Dashboard, and all the registration markup & save/retrieve functions are all built in. If, on the other hand, you’ve already built a bunch of custom functions to query across usermeta, then it’s probably best to keep what you’ve got (saving in wp_usermeta) and hook some functions into the BP registration process.

ParticipantBuddypress 1.2.6
Where can I change the format of the date in users profile. It appears in English, but I would prefer only digits like j/m/Y ?January 11, 2011 at 7:05 pm #102596pcwriter
ParticipantFor a full list of all changes in Vs 1.2.6 & 1.2.7, see this page:

ParticipantWhere you allow people to post comments around your site is entirely up to you and depends on how you implement BuddyPress.
Head over to http://testbp.org/ and join/login to see an example of a default BuddyPress install or check out some of the sites here – https://buddypress.org/showcase/
January 11, 2011 at 6:21 pm #102592In reply to: Admin not receiving New User Registration emails
David Carson
ParticipantThe next thing I’d do is deactivate BuddyPress to see if you’re still not getting new user notifications. If you can’t do this on your live site maybe create a test install in a subdirectory. This would help isolate whether it’s a BP or WP thing. You might want to check out the WordPress forums, too – https://wordpress.org/search/new+user+notification?forums=1
Did you ever get these new user notifications? Or is it something that just started happening recently? Maybe it’s a plugin or customization issue specific to your setup.

MemberYes the bb-config (at the root level) and the wp-config files have the same connection details.
I’ve found the table structure from a separate database on my production server. I’m thinking about adding the 8 missing tables manually.
Does anyone see any potential challenges with that or know of any additional steps that I will need to take to get things working after I add the tables?
I’m a little out of my depth here, but I’m willing to try it so that I don’t have to start the whole site build over from scratch on a new database.I’m open to better ideas though!

Participanthi @modemlooper,
could you help a bit on translation, I know it is just one word – Share (button), but…I added this line to bp-share-it.php:
`load_plugin_textdomain(‘bp-share-it’,’/wp-content/plugins/buddypress-share-it/languages/’);`
translation is loading, seems to work fine.
question is how I can add translation tags to this code (as I understand this is exact place word “Share” comes from (one of them, all others are the same):
`$shareit = ‘Share
- ‘ . $shareittwitter . ‘
- ‘ . $shareitbuzz . ‘
- ‘ . $shareitfacebook . ‘
- ‘ . $shareitdigg . ‘
- ‘ . $shareitemail . ‘
‘;`
thanks!
