Sad, sad, sad. I can’t get to see anything anymore. All I get is the toolbar with the links up top, but they do not work. I do not seem to get the 500 Internal Server Error anymore, but I get the 404 Not Found.
I have repeatedly cleaned everything up and out (through the installer and looking at the directories) and tried again. I fear I have ruts now in my plugin installer.
So if I start from the beginning, I’m gonna install BuddyPress and the BP Template Pack and activate them. Does it matter what order I activate them? Also, even though I have cleaned stuff up, when I install anew, I see remnants of previous work – the Pages are already listed in the BuddyPress Pages tab.
I am gonna clean it all up again and wait nicely for your direction.
I have a question about profile data control. It seems that data displayin the member profile is controlled by the active theme. In my case it is themes/buddyboss/members/single/profile/profile-loop.php, I think?
So my question is:
If i want to modify the code to display all empty fields, hide_empty_fields=false, do i change the code in BuddyPress’s bp_xprofile_template.php? When i set hide_empty_field to false, it does nothing.
Any ideas?

@mercime, that did not help, i am currently using your code, i clear the cache and login as a regular member but the link is still there while you are not on your profile. the code show the link but not while on your own profile alone even when you are viewing friends profile it still show. i dont know what do do again.

Put define ( ‘BP_DISABLE_ADMIN_BAR’, true ); into your bp-custom.php file to turn the bar off.

Chirs it was the problem of WAMP server that was resolved after httpd.config edit 
Once again thanks to Mr Aces, i resolve the problem.. it was the problem of permalinks resolved after changing the log file of apache
@kosarr it could be any number of a hundred things and without more information about your server etc, we can only guess.

I am not sure what I did wrong, but my ‘Create new user link is gone’. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the plugins I was using for members, and nothing.
This is a new setup on Godaddy, and I am new to WordPress and Buddypress.

Thanks Aces i have change the permalinks but still its not working.. I think i am missing something at the time of installation .
After installing buddypress plugin and running completely on wordpress , On clicking the Forum or any menu it SAYSS THE REQUESTED URL WAS NOT FOUND ON THIS SERVER 404 PROBLEM OCCURED

There’s unfortunately no guaranteed solution to prevent spam user signup. There are a couple of easy things to start out with; try items 1 + 2 from http://themekraft.com/spam-in-buddypress/
It’s hard to see any of the pages without registering for an account. Maybe consider adding a blog section to the front page, or show screenshots of what is actually inside the site (people won’t sign up just to see inside) — something like what we have on the front of https://buddypress.org/

Got it. Also, does BuddyPress create any new user roles? I was wondering if I have default role set as forum contributor, then will they be able to use Buddypress even though they are just forum contributors?
