I finally got my MU and BP installs up and running, however, the BP interface is only showing once logged in rather than as the homepage.
Am I missing a fundamental idea of how this stuff works together? I see other sites that use MU/BP and have BP as the ‘index.’
Any direction would help! Thanks!
I want to change the theme of buddypress to show users not registered and not logged in only the box for new registration / login box, what is the function to do this?

Topic: Site Wide Activity Web Slice
Hello all! I’m thoroughly enjoying BuddyPress on a test site I have, and I’m trying to add web slices to parts of it since that’s IE8’s new toy. The Webslicer plugin does most of the hard work, but it doesn’t support the Site Wide Activity widget. I was hoping to create a webslice for it that is more than a glorified RSS feed, but I just can’t get it to act right. It’s a little more annoying that the Firefox plugin Web Chunks that reads the web slice tags picks it up fine, but IE8 cannot. Has anyone else had success converting that to a web slice?
I’m afraid that many things i changed could be written much more simplier using build in wpmu and buddypress functions so if anybody see such a situation, please write about it here.
I think i finished enabling buddypress sitewide with same data for each site. Last changes i made were made in core files – can i move them somehow outside to leave core files as they are?

Topic: jobberbase integration
Just wondering if anyone has used the jobberbase free job directory script to integrate a job directory with their BP community.
Jobberbase allows anyone to post jobs without creating an account. I want to allow free job postings only to registered members of the community. One way to do it is to put the post job link in a location accessible only to registered members of buddypress. Can anyone suggest a good location for the link that meets this requirement?

I have started a buddypress site at http://www.betweenleaders.org The WordpPress MU is active and the BP plugin seems to be working fine.
I wanted some help customizing the site (basic stuff such as colours, widgets, adding our logo and changing the word ‘friends’ to ‘connections’.
I am unsure where to ask for such help (sorry if this is the wrong place) but I would am happy to pay someone to do a basic setup for me.

Basically I stilly have a problemo with the wire displying the post…
1) when NO patch added the wire displays posts in PROFILE and NOT it Groups.
2) when patch IS implimented the Profile wire does not display posts but groups wire does.
i went through and it broke when i change line 31 bp-wire/bp-wire-templatetags.php to bp-wire/bp-wire-templatetags.php
now i know that this is becuase i have custom slugs.
What confuses me is when the patch is implimented it kills the profile wire i gues this is because groups has been hardcoded in the patch and doesnt work with the profile slug but why does the profile wire work with the custom members to spotters slug and not with groups to spots slug.
I gues other people with custome slugs as posted here http://buddypress.org/blog/how-to/customizable-slugs-in-buddypress/ will have this issue so is there going to be a fix for it or a work around??
