I have read the Codex and set everything up properly, and have registrations active, but two issues:
-The Registration URL is not working properly from http://hockeychronicles.com/ and it should be pointing to: index.php/create-account/ as is shown in my WP Admin under the page settings for Buddypress. Both are current versions I installed this past week. If you click the register button however, it just goes to /create-account/ and shows a 404.
-Second issue is if you go to the index.php/create-account/ page, it shows as blank, so the form isn’t even showing.
I reverted back to the twentyfifteen theme to make sure it wasn’t my own issue, but it appears something isn’t clicking correctly, where would I edit the Registration button pointing to a URL to ensure things point correctly?

The Problem:
– The Form Box (css) needs to be tweaked so that the “Post Update” button isnt obscured.
– It would be great if I can make the buttons be persistent. So that they always appear and you dont need to click on the input box for it to appear.
My Setup:
– standard wp & buddypress (updated)
– rtMedia plugin
– twenty fifteen theme
**Any Tips of where I should start? What bit of the CSS do I need to tweak?
I need a site that can support 8 different user groups
and
each user group needs to see a different look/theme and different content when they log in.

Did you find a clean solution to select which buddypress template file is used by the member type?
Looks like it was an issue with the networks + plugin. If you’re on the latest version of buddypress, open up the networks + php file and

Hi @rosyteddy. I got it figured out! It was a combo of tinkering in functions.php and then copying the /wp-content/themes/kleo-child/buddypress/members/single/member-header.php file into my child theme folder and editing it there!
I don’t think I’m using the activity privacy stuff… I’m combining S2Member Pro with BuddyPress… and so far I’m really liking it!
OK, I’m a newbie with BP but you have to:
1. edit/set up your registration page form fields that you want in Users > profile Fields.
2. you can edit the actual text found in the Registration page in registration.php file. Found here on your server: plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/registration/register.php
3. you can edit the actual text found in the Activate page in activate.php file. Found here on your server: plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/registration/activate.php
If you read the getting started docs they help a lot, and then search this forum and on the i/net you’ll find heaps more info.

As you can see, my problem is a different one. There’s no Save button at all.
We are running 4.1.1 WordPress for our website reliantmarine.com. We currently don’t blog on our existing site, but we were trying to download 2.2.1 BuddyPress so that we could start doing that with members, groups, forums, etc. I’m not sure what the issue is, but when I try to activate BuddyPress, it removes our site’s homepage sliders as well as all drop down menus on the top of our page. Can anyone tell us why is this happening?

I have solved the problems with notifications toolbar derived from comments and groups.
The problem was that I used no plugin in order to send notifications… I’m a little silly … 😉
But now I continue with the problem about notifications derived from FORUM.
I have used three differents plugins but I continue with the same problem…
This is a bbPress problem… I understand that, but I have seen that in this web page (https://buddypress.org) notifications run very well, so my question is:
What is the plugin used in this page (https://buddypress.org) in order to send forum notifications in administration toolbar?

I have installed BuddyPress on a few sites, and I have had no problem up until just now, and I have noticed the problem is on all my sites, including the ones that I was previously able to update. The issue is that it is impossible to set the pages associated with Activate and Register, because there’s no option to save your settings anywhere on the page anymore. I have tried different browsers to see if it might have been a browser issue. Nothing changes this. Also, I do see a save button on under the Settings tab, so this seems to be only under the Pages tab. So for my new BuddyPress installation, I can’t set the Activate and Register page. I can go to the page where you set it and can select the page I want, but I can’t save it. BuddyPress version 2.2.1 and WP 4.1.1

When a member is deleted, let’s say John Smith jsmith, that username becomes available again. Someone called Jason Smith could indeed register jsmith.
Content associated with deleted accounts should be deleted but this isn’t always the case. For example, I’ve seen some plugins save info to a user’s account and when that user is deleted, the info remains. As far as actual BuddyPress goes, ‘housekeeping’ on account deletion is performed.
po/mo file name should be buddypress-xx_XX.po/mo
where xx_XX are respectively country(min) and language(maj) ISO code.
if you’re using spanish (Spain) xx_XX is es_ES,
if you’re using spanish (Mexico) xx_XX is es_MX, and so on for all other hispanic speaking countries.
If you don’t know your ISO code, read in this codex section about language and country code.
I have uplouded the files .mo and .po to the folder of the wordpress pcpanel files and, these are not translated.
The route is:
wp-content/languages/plugins/buddypress-2.2.x-es.mo

I have a buddypress site in place and i have a Buddypress Cover plugin installed. The plugin works fine, however its CSS file doesnt load on some dynamic pages created by some other plugins like gallery,pokes etc. I peeked into bp-cover.php file to see where the CSS file is loading. And i found this
add_action( 'wp_print_scripts', 'bp_cover_scripts' );
So i changed the hook from wp_print_scripts to wp_head and it tend to worked initially. Than after upgrading the Buddypress Cover Version that trick also is not working. Does some one know to make that CSS load globally throughout my site?
