Oh, I’m sorry.
I thought that you can’t send private messages to somebody who isn’t a friend, but it also works on my website…

plugin might have broke on 1.7 I haven’t had time to update it.

Put it in bp-custom.php – after you remove all the ‘br’ tags.

When I press on message on the pofile page in the app, I can send an private message, also if it is not a friend. The message is send also.

If you have any plugins other than BuddyPress installed you may want to deactivate them all to see if the problem persists. If the redirect loop stops and works fine after that then re-activate each plugin one at a time and test to see if you can narrow down which plugin may be causing the issue. If you find that it is a plugin, then report back which plugin was causing the redirect loop.

With some filters i think you can change email, subjet of activation email, or the message.

The private message feature works great, but you can send private messages to all people, not only friends. I think this is a bug.
