Hey guys,
After I upgraded the WordPress version to 4.1 of my BP site it’s causing some weird behavior.
Is there an incompatibilty between WP 4.1 and Buddypress cause:
1. it’s duplicating my profile fields. For example: it’s now showing my name field twice..
2. and the order of the groups are changing every time… Weird

I want to display ads in activity streem, something like after 3 activity but have no crue on how to do it. I searched the forum and stumbled on this tread I cherished the tread and method prescribe by @henrywright, but my problem is, Where exactly will I add the code. Please guys help me out, am not good at coding, but I can follow an indept instruction on how to add code, where to add it. If coding is to write, i will tell you that I dont know how to write my name.
I am running a buddypress site based on wild-community theme. I used the following code to display only the groups that a logged in user has joined:

This works perfectly fine. However Now I also need to list down only the groups that the loggedin user is NOT a member of, I used the != to sign in several ways but nothing worked:
<?php if ( bp_has_groups( ‘type=alphabetical&user_id!=’ . $bp->loggedin_user->id )&& is_user_logged_in()) : ?>

Need a fix pls.

i want to create Social Network field Group. in Social NEtwork Field Groupd i want to create One Custom Field Called LastFm
i did try following code which gives error. it returns Multiple duplicate fields.

How do I go about changing Groups to Teams in all slugs, strings etc?
I have found a few topics/articles on this but they all seem to be incomplete and leave references to ‘groups’ that users can see.
I’m new to BuddyPress but I would have thought this would be something that should be an option in the settings. As many administators must want to have the option of using Clubs, Teams, Projects etc
Customize the member profile page with shortcodes and custom sidebars? Since it is a vistual page, there is no way to change anything from the page itself, is there another way? I see I can add profile entries with the extended profile but I am looking to insert Woocommerce account, etc. Or is there a way to insert the Buddypress profile as a shortcode into another page, as exemple “My account” ?
Thank you!I am using buddypress 2.1.1 with bbpress 2.5.4 on WP 4.1 with Wishlist Member. I would like to make it easy for forum members to find their profile and the forum member directory page. Is it possible to insert a link to these pages above the forums? I would prefer to have them somewhere internal to the forums and not in my navigation as this is a private membership site.

Hi there, I’ve been creating a plugin which optionally can have its own status updates added to Buddypress activity updates by using the function bp_activity_add.
The problem is that when specifiying the ‘content’ for the activity to add, it goes through the apply_filters function which will strip everything except spans, imgs and p tags.
Is there any way (without hacking the bp code) to make sure it does not get so heavily filtered? I would like to add some divs and some other html tags to an activity update so that my activity update gets correctly formatted.

WordPress 4.0, BuddyPress 2.1.1
I’m trying to create a page template for the Activity Stream page.
I created it the standard WordPress way, selected it in the page editor but BuddyPress defaults to page.php.
I then created page.php in themes/mytheme/buddypress/activity/ but it still defaults to the page.php in the root of my theme. Furthermore any templates I create in this location do not appear under Edit Page.
Any help is much appreciated!
