Nope, If i go to Forums/Topics Started or replies it still comes up blank.
Ok I did that, I’ll see if it works.
Try removing the `redirect_to_forum()` function. That’s an older code snippet that doesn’t work properly in newer versions of BP.
@dasteralo2 First, deactivate BuddyPress. you’ve got to make sure that your WP multisite installation is working before activating BP. Now create a new blog w/o BP and see if your new blog has been created.
– If no subsite is created, then resolve the multisite issue first at the multisite forum https://wordpress.org/support/forum/multisite
– If a subsite is created, then activate BuddyPress, go through the Installation Wizard and choose BP Default theme for the meantime, and create a new blog.
@benzine You need to change 16 template files within the 6 BP folders transferred to your Paediatric theme folder in server during the compatibility process.
If you’ve previously changed any of the BP template files in your Paediatric theme folder in server, replace all of them for a clean slate by deleting the 6 BP folders – /activity, /blogs, /forums, /groups, /members, and /registration – then re-run Appearance > BP Compatibility.
Download the 6 clean BP folders to your computer hard drive.
A. At the top of each of those 16 template files I linked to above, replace
`
`
with the following:
`
<?php if (get_option_tree('blog_layout_sidebar', '')) { echo '
‘; } else {echo ‘
‘;} ?>
<div id="post-” >
`
Then, in each of 16 files, delete the BP Templates’ Page titles where found (usually found in index.php files within BP Template folders) since the BP titles are generated automatically during the BP Installation Wizard and you don’t want duplicate titles in one page. Be careful with the activity/index.php file.
Save files.
Great idea @r-a-y , will try it tonight , I would like to use it for custom post type answers
Issue is resolved when bbPress sitewide forums is deactivated. Posted in bbPress trac https://bbpress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/1951
Would it be possible to add activity updates to a group via email too? I appreciate this might need some additional tweak if people are in multiple groups, but it would be a great feature…
Created ticket for the duplicate forum posts issue above https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/4524
Thanks for confirming.
I’ve discovered BP 1.6.1 has a problem with topics not appearing in group forum lists when WP is set up to use a persistant object cache. I’m using the APC object cache plugin, and I’m 99% confident it’s occuring on one of our production memcached environments, too. Investigating.

== I have tried uninstalling buddypress, but it didn’t even show a registration page after that. ==
@swagcannon change to Twenty Eleven theme and deactivate all plugins. Then check your registration in basic WP install. If that doesn’t work, try to re-upload WP files manually – via FTP/cpanel/filemanager etc. and check if registration works. If that doesn’t work, please go to https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting for assistance
I answered in the other thread. Of course you could always start a new topic. Do provide a URI to the page with the troublesome button.
Posting out to the existing platforms ? yes it is a feature of Buddystream but the developer of Buddystream appears to be snowed under at the minute and is currently unable to give a level of support the plugin users need. Moreover it is a premium plugin.
The posting out feature does not appear to be covered in bebop but is covered (although not simultaneous with posting) by the BuddyPress Share It /BuddyShare by modemlooper who appears to be as supportive as anyone could wish for. Hopefully Facebook, linkedin etc will eventually be integrated into bebop. I just hope the heavyweights on this forum (volunteers etc)if they have the time, will give bebop a good look over and perhaps contribute ideas wise to help it on its way as (IMHO) it could be a major addition to buddypress.
== If a member is part of a public group, but is not a group moderator or a group admin, and starts a new forum topic (using bbPress 1, not bbPress 2)… can they sticky and edit their own topic? ==
@djpaul
a) Tested regular member – can only edit topic but cannot make it sticky.
b) Found a possible bug when I was logged in as Admin of site but not Group Admin nor Group Moderator
– Created and Posted the new topic = e.g. “Testing Paul Gibbs Issue” with url http://example.com/groups/the-godfather/forum/topic/testing-paul-gibbs-issue/
– Make the topic Sticky = click on Sticky
– The Post was reposted for some reason and made sticky, now two topics in forum and one is sticky with url http://example.com/groups/the-godfather/forum/topic/testing-paul-gibbs-issue-1/
i tried testing that on our install but I’ve found that none of my users can create topics and in fact all of our group forums have disappeared at some point tried un/re installing but its till bork sorry tried!
@hugo: I think providing the choices with nested/conditional custom fields and the ability to be bond with automatic group assignments during user registration should be at the heart of making BuddyPress useful in a BASIC way. These are not some fancy stuff that we should expect come from the Plugins. Plus, if we depend on Plugins for all these patches to the foundamental parts of our BuddyPress powered sites, and if the Plugins not updated on time with the new release of BuddyPress Core, then we are completely doomed!
Please, everyone, in the core dev team, reconsider this request. Thank you!
In terms of the automatic group member depending on certain profile fields, here is another user’s request … https://buddypress.org/community/groups/miscellaneous/forum/topic/automatic-group-member-depending-on-fields-in-profile/
@tgnwsauctions
Yes, WooCommerce works fine alongside BuddyPress. We use it on http://www.enterprisenation.com/shop
WooCommerce provides a fairly rich API with lots of actions you can hook onto — so, provided you are a developer, you can also mould a tight integration with BuddyPress.
Themekraft produce a plugin that integrates the WooCommerce account / profile screens with BuddyPress’s profile screen — we find there are some issues with the UX this creates though. If you google this forum, there was a recent thread discussing this.
@waiyea As mentioned above, you need to change 16 template files within the 6 BP folders transferred to your zenon-lite theme folder in server during the compatibility process.

A. At the top of each of those 16 template files I linked to above, replace
`

with the following:
`
<div id=”post-“>

Then, in each of 16 files, you’d like to change the BP Templates’ page title’s header tag from `

` or `

` to `
// Titles Of Respective BP Page Templates //

Save files.
Thanks . I think it’s somehow difficult using Firbug . I find avatar styles and it works nice . But I think it’s a good idea to list all of styles and descriptions somewhere for newbies like me !
Now I have my old problem yet ! The comment button problem .

This is a three year old thread! Please post your question as a new topic not tagged on to one so out of date.
