Member@johnjamesjacoby you answered my question, I was simply just saying site wide forum activity was not posting on the activity stream, that’s it in a nutshell. I thought site wide forum activity would post just like group forum activity. If it doesn’t than that’s ok, I just assumed it would function the same in that regard.
Thank you,

KeymasterRead the error message:
There is early output (headers) started at /hermes/bosweb26d/b1249/ipg.krugersightingscom/wp-content/themes/custom-community/_inc/ajax.php.
And then the “zingiri-forum” plugin tries to send some page headers at /hermes/bosweb26d/b1249/ipg.krugersightingscom/wp-content/plugins/zingiri-forum/forum.php on line 849, but it can’t, because BP-Default’s javascript already has.One of these things is happening in the wrong order, or in the wrong place.

@mercime
ParticipantYou’re welcome.
Which version of IE are you using? The bbPress (Forums), Members, and Groups Pages are full width and aligned in IE 8/9. You just might want to remove the negative left and right margins for div#item-list-tabs, div#subnav, and div.pagination as well as add top and bottom paddings to #forums tr. Check out modifications made in this tutorial for some more styling tips/corrections.
It’s your site’s Activity Pages that are not rendering properly. I suggest you open up activity/index.php and change
``
back to
``
as that center alignment breaks down layout of activity stream.November 18, 2011 at 2:04 am #124626In reply to: Forum not working ..

KeymasterI still don’t completely understand what you mean.
bbPress Site Wide favorites don’t appear in the profiles at all yet, they will in 1.6/2.1. Same with topics and replies that are posted from within wp-admin. It sounds silly, but I didn’t feel it right to trigger activity updates when posting in the dashboard while bbPress 2.0 was still new. So these are less bugs than they are unfinished features.
Mentions work, and appear in activity streams and trigger notifications. testbp.org runs a vanilla install of everything, and they work there without issue.
The database update is a prompt you see in your dashboard. If you don’t see the prompt, then there’s nothing that needs doing.

MemberThank you @johnjamesjacoby @DJPaul for the replys, it’s a clean install with only the style.css customized in a child theme. 1.5.1 bp, 3.2.1 wp. No plugins installed besides bp and bbpress which I installed using the site wide forums selection within forums settings in buddypress. Forum updates or new forum posts do not show in activity stream at all.
Mentions and favorites for the forum are not showing on a user profile or activity stream as well, other wise mentions and favorites work with update posts. So mentions and favorites function just not within forums. This makes me believe it has to do with bbpress. Otherwise buddypress is working as it should.
What type of database update would I need to preform on bp if that’s the case? Any other solutions?
Thank you for your help all,

MemberI, too, would appreciate such a feature.
@hnla, @mercime, How do I add a tag a forum post? I’d like to tage this one, but I don’t see how. Also, I’d like to “follow” or “subscribe” to this forum post, but I don’t see how. Will you please show me the way? (I am posting this “me too” reply in hopes that it will trigger a “follow” or “subscribe” function.)
Thanks!
P.S. I believe bug 1949 [1] relates to this issue; if I am mistaken, please let me know. Thank you!

KeymasterThe Forums in BuddyPress 1.5 are in a transition, so it’s important to be as specific as you can about what you’re experiencing.
To clarify, both Group and Site Wide Forums should be creating activity stream items. At no point should Group Forums not create activity. Site Wide forum activity logging might stop working if BuddyPress needs a database update.
If mentions and favorites aren’t working either, it leads me to believe something else is not working properly in your installation. Conflicting plugins or invalid file uploads somewhere possibly.

ParticipantForums for Groups and Sitewide Forums are definitely working in WP 3.2.1 and BP 1.5.1 and bbPress 2.0
BP Codex – https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/installing-group-and-sitewide-forums/The BuddyPress demo site at http://testbp.org/ is on:
“This site is running the most recent nightly development versions of BuddyPress and WordPress and should be considered mostly stable with a chance of rain.
WordPress 3.3-aortic-disection
BuddyPress 1.6-bleeding
bbPress 2.1-bleeding”Per your screencast, you’re using WP 3.3 beta 3. Are you using trunk versions of BuddyPress 1.6 and bbPress 2.1 as well? Having asked that, no guarantees until all are stable.

Because the bb-config.php file is still in WP root. Backup bb-config.php to hard drive and delete it from server.November 17, 2011 at 6:07 am #124574In reply to: Buddypress Forums & Group Forums Not Working

MemberI have exactly the same problem. When I try to post in a group forum I get:
“This group does not have a forum setup yet.”
If I try to do it from the global forums page section, I get this:
“Please pick the group forum where you would like to post this topic.” (I did! ¬¬)
No need to say that of course I had forum enabled option on the group… I’ve been working on this problem for several hours and I’m about getting crazy.
When I installed forums option on Buddypress I did the following:
1. Installed forums for all the website (downloaded bbPress, installed and activated)
2. Installed forums for groups (instead of “using an existing installation option”)I think the problem is maybe on not using the “existing installation option”).
I’m about becoming crazy (and blind), but the only solution I see is locating the database entry on phpMyadmin and fixing it, but I couldn’t find where this options are in there.
Some help pleeeeease? Thanks…
