ModeratorTrac is the best place to report bugs. See https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/
You can use the same username and password you use here in the forum.

ParticipantAnd finally, I just noticed that this forum is correctly showing my Username as “@pastordatm” which it should be on my site, https://datm.org/ under the Member profiles for BuddyPress.
QUESTIONS: Is this the correct sub-forum for the BuddyPress developers to see this bug report? Is there a Bugzilla bug tracking log (or similar) that has WordPress User access to see if this bug has been reported before? It may need updating for BuddyPress Version 3.1.0 now.
As always, thanks in advance for any assistance that can be provided towards this issue.

ModeratorBP essentally uses the same login as WordPress, there’s a lot of ways of customising it though, depending on your knowledge. There’s various custom login plugins, including Theme My Login, which allows you to change a lot of the login functionality.
BuddyPress provides the following
Extended User Profiles
Groups
Messaging
Friends
ActivityForums can be added to groups if you install bbPress.
For standalone forums you only need bbPress

ParticipantI’m watching videos and forum tutorials and they tell me that Buddypress is a forum plugin … inculso in a page appears as one of the best forum plugin .. if the plugin does not achieve this I want to know;
with this plugin or is there any other way for them to register on my website outside of the wordpress pre-filled login panel?
Can I create another page or route?

ModeratorIf you just want a forum, you should be looking at bbPress. BuddyPress does not come with a forum, it uses bbPress to add forums to groups but adding BP on it’s own won’t give you forums.

KeymasterSomeone reported an issue involving 404s that might be related to this forum thread.
To those experiencing 404s with custom profile or group subnav pages, can you try the following fix?

ParticipantMy community now asking for this exact thing. Instant embedding of giphy (and any direct link to an animated gif I guess) in activity what’s new posts.
We have a plugin that actually allows it apparently in comments and forum posts… so of course now they want to know why they can’t do it in activity posts. 😛

I haven’t tried that. I contacted WordPress a second time and now they decided to look into it for me, so I am waiting on that.If I deactivate Buddypress, what will happen to my site? It is a member community full of groups and forums and I am afraid to break it.
Is it safe to just deactivate Buddypress like that?

ParticipantStep 1: Create a group and a forum
Step 2: Let users auto-join your group
Step 3: Have new topics automatically added to your group
Step 4: Hide the group elements from your theme
Step 5: Remove any ability to access groupsJuly 12, 2018 at 5:40 am #275170In reply to: Group forum single don’t work

ParticipantThanks a lot! i deleted the function on that line and it works!

bp_get_template_part( ‘members/single/forums’ );*/July 11, 2018 at 5:59 pm #275162In reply to: Group forum single don’t work

ModeratorIt’s not actually checking for the bbPress forum, it’s checking for a forum that no longer exists in BuddyPress, which is why it’s failing.

ParticipantHello, I’m wondering if there is a way for a forum member to rotate their profile photo left/right etc. Kind of like when on Facebook where user can rotate clockwise or counterclockwise.
Need this since sometimes mobile upload photos appear in wrong direction.
Having rotating capability would fix this.June 27, 2018 at 10:44 am #274807In reply to: @mention not working on group forums.

ParticipantHallo, es, I tried to deactivate all other plugins, especially Autoptimize and Scripts-To-Footer, because of this reply: https://buddypress.org/support/topic/localized-time-stamp-broken-with-2-7-update/ , but it didn´t help.
If I deactivate the wpml-plugin, I don´t become a mistake, but the problem is still there-> https://wpml.org/forums/topic/the-big-loading-time/June 25, 2018 at 9:50 am #274701Venutius
ModeratorYou might be better off raising this in the bbPress forum, as this is a bbPress question.
June 24, 2018 at 8:41 pm #274682Topic: bp_core_remove_nav_item not working
in forum How-to & Troubleshootingghosted
ParticipantBuddyPress :3.1
I really hope someone can help me with this. I’ve read a lot of support pages/articles from varying sources, nothing I put in bp-custom.php works for removing profile nav tabs/sub nav tabs.
I’ve already tried https://buddypress.org/support/topic/the-right-way-to-remove-nav-items/
Is it possible to make Activity and Forum profile tabs private?
which doesn’t seem to have any effect at all.the only thing i’ve found that kind does anything is:
function bp_remove_activity_from_profile() { bp_core_remove_nav_item('activity'); } add_action('bp_activity_setup_nav','bp_remove_activity_from_profile');but it’s not ideal since there are quite a few things i’d like to remove.
