@traqbar It seems to be working fine. Try debugging using the default theme and only BuddyPress to find which plugin is causing the issue.
Hello,
Recently I have cloned my website due to plugin and php upgrade. But I had issue with Buddypress plugin and we couldn’t update it. BTW I have updated the plugin from 11.0 to 14.0. it’s seems working fine now. But my only issue is with WPLMS theme student login. when any student login to the dashboard it’s only redirecting to wp-admin and showing an error as you have no access. normall it’s redirecting to the student dashboard but now it’s not working. Still have no clue how to fix it.

Backstory: I have a Divi Theme and have added member press to that theme as part of that they have a Buddypress integration.
Problem: whenever I activate the buddy press plugin the formatting of the account page goes weird, the Logo becomes massive the menus all go into a column and it looks awful. Has anyone else had this problem?
When I create a non admin profile I do not have access to notifications, messages, or settings. I can only view profile. When I log in on my admin profile I have access to all of these actions. How can I allow non admin users this access. I have tried disabling plugins 1×1 but still not working. Have also tried changing theme.

@garymorris, contact your BeSocial theme support to fix the issue.
Hi all I have a website error. Our hosting company have given me this error below which seems to relate to the Buddypress add-in & hope someone can help. I am no way an expert unfortunately as our web person left our group.
Thank you for contacting us and apologies for the delay!
Upon further investigation, this is the error that we found:

Since this seems to be content-related, you will need to reach out to a web developer to address this problem.

That’s interesting, I don’t have this issue myself as far as I can see. Certainly, using the Android “app” that I use, it’s fine. My theme does not touch the WordPress top=bar menu, as far as I can see. I use Graphene.
Hi @koka777
Thanks for your feedback. I just tested and wasn’t able to reproduce.
Theme: Twenty Twenty-Four
BP Template pack: Nouveau & Legacy (tested with both template packs)
No other plugins than BuddyPress
No custom code into wp-content/mu-plugins
or wp-content/plugins/bp-custom.php
I created a public group being logged as an Admin.
I created a subscriber, logged in as this subscriber, went to the Groups directory, clicked on the join button.
Result: the join button turned into a leave button and I was successfully added as a member of the group.
I created a group being a subscriber, logged out then logged in as an Admin. I was also able to join a group from the Groups directory.
Can you explain just like I did above, the steps you are doing to get the “Error joining this group.” message?
Please make sure to deactivate any plugins, custom code, and activate a WordPress default theme like Twenty Twenty-Four.
Hello, thank you for your work. I just started testing BuddyPress 14.0.0-RC1 To immediately clarify and rule out any issues related to my theme, I checked everything again using the Twenty Twenty-Four theme with all third-party plugins disabled. In fact, in version 14.0.0-RC1, it is impossible to join groups from the group listing page; an error occurs – “Error joining this group.” From the group page, pressing the join button elicits no response.
In my Theme Gwangi I can only increase it to a maximum of 15 users.
Is there a way to have more?
@vapvarun
Isn’t compatible with the theme I’m using since it’s highly customized and the framework is REACT.
Ensure the BuddyPress plugin is active and add custom code in child theme functions.php or a custom plugin or using the code snippet plugin. xprofile_get_field_data is a valid function https://hooks.wbcomdesigns.com/reference/functions/xprofile_get_field_data/
@imranmd Thank you so much for this, it works perfectly for me on the child theme’s functions.php file of the latest version (4.6.8) of BuddyX theme.

Hello,
My members page after one of the last updates started showing the sidebar for some reason.
https://gordian-knot.eu/members/
I tried:
– Changing the template of the page and putting it with no sidebar (no effect)
– Contacting the theme support which directed me to the plugin dev.
Any ideas on what’s wrong?
Thank you in advance.
PS: I used this code in conjunction with the buddypress tool (Repair total members count):
/*
* Paste in your theme functions.php or in bp-custom.php.
* Load the site in a browser
* Remove from your theme functions.php or bp-custom.php.
*/
function buddypress_add_last_activity() {
$members = get_users( 'fields=ID' );
// $members = get_users( 'fields=ID&role=subscriber' );
foreach ( $members as $user_id ) {
bp_update_user_last_activity( $user_id, bp_core_current_time() );
}
}
add_action('bp_init', 'buddypress_add_last_activity' );
Hi, in our theme is incuded the Youzify Plugin that manages some graphic settings. At the moment we solved the header problem with Youzify, but it has limited settings.
This is the actual situation of the site:
the portal is divided in 3 main areas: community for members, specialist psychologists area, courses.
We think to manage the community with Buddypress, so to make that users can share info between themselves. For courses we use Learnpress.
Home page: “psicologiaintribunale.it/2023 ”
Community page: ” psicologiaintribunale.it/2023/la-community/ ”
Specilist page: ” psicologiaintribunale.it/2023/cerca-il-tuo-psicologo-giuridico/ ”
For membership we are using PMP.
Please be free to suggest us the best solutions to make better the site.
Yes, let”s do that. I think this must be something to do with your theme template, since my theme does not have this issue and I do not think it’s anything to do with Buddypress.
It may be that your theme creator will not want to support Buddypress, but you should ask them. However, I have a suggestion for a workaround if they do not want to do this.
I also use a plugin to set a custom header per page, and this works on my BP sites.
Unique Headers
I’d contact your theme creator and ask if they will help with the problem. And, to be honest, if they won’t help, I’d either ditch the theme, or create your own theme based on that theme and fix it yourself. There’s quite a few debug tools that might help with this, but if you are not a programmer, and your theme developer will not fix it, there is not really a solution.
Sounds like it’s your theme then.
Hello Support Team,
I’m experiencing a frustrating issue with BuddyPress on my website. When users (including myself as Admin) try to upload a profile photo or banner, the media uploader works, and the image appears to upload successfully, displaying the “Profile picture updated successfully” message. However, upon refreshing the page or navigating to another section, the uploaded image disappears, and the profile reverts to having no profile image.
Despite trying various plugins to manage upload sizes and file types, none of them make any changes. Deactivating all plugins didn’t resolve the issue either. The only temporary solution was switching themes, but I’ve invested significant time customizing my current theme, and starting over would mean losing all that work.
I’ve tried:
– Clearing cache
– Using different browsers
– Deactivating all plugins
– Switching themes (temporarily resolved the issue, but the image disappeared again when switching back)
Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated to resolve this issue and retain my theme and profile photos in BuddyPress.
Thanks in advance!
Hello,
My installation is under buddypress 12.5.1 I have the BuddyX free theme, when I go to the activity part and click on RSS feeds I have a bug. How to remove the button so that my users are not this bug or how to solve this bug?

The user version works perfectly. The group version correctly removes the existing tab and adds a new one, but the new tab leads to a 404 page when clicked. I was able to replicate on a fresh Docker install of WordPress 6.5.4 and BuddyPress 12.5.0 with no other plugins (besides the one I’ve made, which is one file) and the Twenty Twenty-Four theme. Thanks in advance for any help.
@frankferr BuddyX is a theme, not a plugin. Add it to the ‘Add New Theme’ section.
