As the subject states: Fresh install of WP 2.92 and BP 1.2.1 on my Dedicated Cloud Linux server at 1and1.com. It is running CentOS 5, MySQL and PHP5. Everything, I repeat, everything works perfectly with this install except anything referencing /Forums. I create a new group, works fine! I try to associate a new forum with the group, fail!
Many other installations of WordPress (just WP, no Buddypress) are working just fine from this server, so it is certainly something specific to the Buddypress add-in. Please take a look and let me know what you think. I’ve done everything short of modifying php.ini, etc..
Thanks!
All the credit for this plugin goes to Rich Fuller and is entirely based on his tutorial for hacking BuddyPress to remove non-friend updates from the activity stream. I simply packaged it up and made it a plugin. Hope someone finds it to be useful! Will get it added to the WordPress repo soon! For now you can download it here:
Topic: 404 on every link
Hi All,
Get it while It’s hot:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress-group-documents/download/
Note: you’ll have to click the actual ‘0.3.0’ link rather than the big orange button. I’m doing this for now so people will upgrade by hand rather than using the “one click upgrade”. One of the problems that was occurring is documents in the plugin folder would be deleted when they upgraded. This version of the plugin fixes that by moving the documents to the main site uploads folder. Please note, if your document links are broken at first, visiting the plugin admin page will move them from the old location to the new one.
Also added: Icons!
Aslo added: Bulk Uploads! – You can FTP large files or mulitple files at once by placing them in the “uploads” folder. The next time you visit the admin page, you can choose a group and assign meta info.
Please see the changelog for more details. I’ve also updated roadmap.txt to reflect the latest user feedback.
As always, your feedback is more than welcome.
Cheers,
Peter
I was playing with the trunk of 3.0 and am excited about different content types. What are the plans to incorporate this into BP?
Either via core or plugins?
