So, when I install Buddypress; does it take over the whole MU blog system, or is just confined to one of the MU blogs?
Because I have several WordPress MU blogs, but I only want one of them to be forums.
Is that possible? Or do I need to make a whole separate MU setup for that to happen?
Installed buddypress 1.0.3 on wordpress mu 2.8.4 running on a windows 2003 server with IIS 6 and php 5.2.9.9
WordPress mu is running smoothly, except for the buddypress.
I get following javascript error:

Do I have to install some jquery thing before using buddypress?

I’ve got BuddyPress installed on my local mamp installation and have got a problem with white screens.
Whenever I try to
-Save Changes in the group settings
-Post a message on a group wire
-Send a message
-Post a new topic on the group forum
I get a blank page. Often the settings are saved and I need to reload to get to the screen I need to see.
Sometimes I get this “Are you sure you want to do this?” from the WordPress backend after reloading.
I’d be very happy for any hints in the right direction as I think it also prevents me from have the group forum working although I have followed these instructions very carefully:

Hello! I think I may need to re-install my wordpress-mu and buddypress because my wp-signup.php link doesn’t work -it’s on a strange redirect. (The issue located here: http://buddypress.org/forums/topic/new-registrations-not-working?replies=4#post-23161 )
What are the steps for re-installing my wordpress-mu and buddypress, which is all integrated with bbpress as well? Can I do it easily and retain the integration and information I’ve already put in there?
This is something that I just did on our site and I thought that others might find it useful.
In standard WordPress / WPMU the comment notification email that is sent to a post author has the commentors name in the from name field of the mail. This is convenient, because you can easily see who’s making comments in your email inbox (e.g. on your phone).
Buddypress adds a filter that removes this name and replaces it with <site name> for all outgoing mail (from wp_mail()). You can see this filter, ‘bp_core_email_from_name_filter’, in ‘bp_core.php’.
I replaced that filter with a custom version that only sets the from name to <site name> if the from field is empty, or if it is “WordPress”. It appears to work fine.
Here is the code. If anyone sees any potential side effects, I’d love to know about it.

Some of you may have seen I’ve been trying to get security working smoothly across the stack.
(I hate security programming btw but it has to get done.)
These patches should help ease some MU <-> BBpress frustrations.
I know for a lot of you this has been a problem and this is important as all of you guys are most likely running MU and BBpress for BP forum functionality.

BuddyPress has by far the best team of Devs, Mods, and Contributors of any of the apps in the Automattic stack. Maybe because it’s the nature of the app? I can hardly get a hold of any of the leads from Mu or BB.

One Spanking good piece of info not in the trac notes: The patches also allows silo’d proper ssl flagged loggins per MU site with bbpress. It plays nice with multi-site.

Hello everyone,
Today, I installed buddypress and I tried to create a group with a discussion forum. When I tried to do that, buddypress told me that I needed to install bbpress with a link. That link lead towards /wp-admin/admin.php?page=buddypress/bp-forums.php.
I’ve chosen the option to do a new installation as I didn’t had it installed, and it told me to create bb-config.php with the following code:

I did so and went back, and saw that I could enable discussion forum for the group according to buddypress.
