Topic: Member Count Incorrect
Hi,
I’ve just launched a new membership site using WordPress 3.0.1 and Buddypress 1.0.3. The member count on the directory says I have 8 members. However, when I go through the directory alphabetically I count 11 members. Not sure why it’s off. On the WP dashboard in Users the count is also 11. Any ideas?
Topic: @thepseudo in the posts
Hello,
I’m using buddypress with WordPress multi-blogging.
When I write a comment on a post from the network’s blog with a mention @thepseudo in it , it’s creating a clickable link to the user (just like if I mentioned the user via the buddypress activity update). But If I try to write a post with this mention in it, it doesn’t work it’s simply displaying @thepseudo without any link.
Any ideas on how to fix this ?
Thanks you for your help.
best regards,
Topic: Need a Submit News Plugin
Buddypress is great and has many features I’m looking for. However, I’m looking for a feature to allow members to submit a news story (or blog post) on the front page (preferably).
Wordpress P2 Theme has such a feature http://www.p2theme.comI’m not looking for a member to add a “status update” as that feature is obviously here already. I want them to submit a post.
Is anyone aware of such a plugin?thanks
I need to promote one or more users to Administrator (or Super Administrator) status to approve/delete new or spammer/abusive members, along with patrolling Groups and Forums to clean up content. I did that with a test account to see what level of access a promoted user gets. When I logged into my network under this newly promoted test account, it didn’t seem to have any greater level of function than before.
How does an Administrator get to the Dashboard, so that if needed he/she can delete users, add plugins, etc? The way I do it now is to go to Blue Host, login under the Control Panel (cPanel) and the login as Admin through there. Then I see the Network Admin with the “Super Admin” functions.
Is a promoted user supposed to have a WordPress account, and are they supposed to login with that at the NetworkName dot com/wp-login.php address? I want any new Admins to NOT have access through Blue Host.
