Hi,
normally you have a filter upon the activity stream so you can sort it by different activities. By default, a stream use “anything”.
Settings > BuddyPress > Settings -> Activity Settings and make sure that βAllow activity stream commenting on blog and forum postsβ is checked. And also “Allow search engines”.
While testing, i recommand that you use one of Twenty’s theme first. Just in case of… π

Meanwhile, have you found this ?

i have several installs in french without any error at this level, so it’s difficult to tell you what’s going wrong for you.
If you have a local install, i would suggest
1) make a new test site and activate Twenty Thirteen or Fourteen. There should be only one user (you, as admin) at this stage. Once installed and workink, create a new user within admin, with subscriber status.
2) upload a new copy of BuddyPress and bbPress and add Bp Default Data plugin, with all data options enabled.
3) use WordPress in english for a first try. If ok, set it to french and re-testIn reply to: Notes EmptyHi,
did you enabled Options de notification component in BP settings ?
Do you omited a custom function somewhere (bp-custom or theme functions.php) ?
Do you have the same problem when your site is in english ?In reply to: BP Activity @mention display_nameHi,
A good start point would be:

Ask on bbPress forum and read the documentation:
You may find similar explanation on BuddyPress codex.Other solution: https://wordpress.org/plugins/bbp-style-pack/
Hi,
read for a solution here:
https://buddypress.org/support/topic/add-tinymce-to-activity-post-form/#post-189713Note that there is only one “what’s new” form for BP activities (meaning site activities or profile activities or group activities use the same form).
To get it only for groups, simply add a conditionnal specific for “groups”(all) or “group”(by name).
Not tested with 2.4.3, but may work. π

Read here: https://buddypress.org/support/topic/where-is-edit-this-3/#post-249128Hi,
this will be a custom work on your site admin and concerns principaly wordPress.
Read here how to do add a custom column on user’s list. Here the function reference you’ll need to use.
Something like this you have to add to bp-custom.php or your child-theme functions.php
function andrea_columns( $output, $column_name, $user_id ) { /* do something*/ } add_action( 'manage_users_custom_column', 'andrea_columns', 10, 3 );Hi,
have you activated Private message option in BuddyPress settings ?
have you the same issue when you use one of the Twenty something theme ?In reply to: where is edit this?Different message, but same answer as on your other topic:

Hi,
to modify the group directory sort order, you need a child-theme and a template overload of
groups/index.phpCopy this file from
bp-templates/bp-legacy/buddypress/groups/index.phpto child, to get the following path:
wp-content/themes/your-child-theme/buddypress/groups/index.phpIn this copy, modify the html of the selector you’ll find at line 82~86 so the alpha. sort is in first position instead of latest.

You can do that via phpmyadmin if you’re confortable with mysql or use a plugin. Search on plugin repo for CSV importer or similar keywords. In reply to: Only administrator can change avatar…Hi,

sorry, but you found the culprit: it’s your actual theme.
As you said, then I changed the theme to TwentySixteen and all worked fine and you reverted to Enigma and, bam, no gallery slider on the activity page.Check theme’s settings, and eventually your js console for some errors.
Hi,
seems a good idea, and as WP is now responsible of over 25% websites, using such a tool in a WP environment could be interesting.
That said, you’re not alone to think ! π 2 plugins are avaible:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=gedcomIn reply to: how can i change word Forums?Hi,
you need to use bbpress.po translation file, even if your site is in default english language.
Or if you only want to modify one word, you can use this snippet from inside your child-theme’s functions.php (will also work in bp-custom.php)function bruce_change_name( $translated, $original_text, $domain ) { if ( 'bbpress' !== $domain ) return $translated; switch ( $original_text ) { case 'Forums': // original word return 'Four Rhum'; // your custom word default: return $translated; } } add_filter( 'gettext', 'bruce_change_name', 10, 3 );WP reference: https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/hooks/gettext/
In reply to: Not all members listed, pending user permissionsAll site members (including admins) are registered in the same wp_users table. This means that you’ll see them in your network members admin.
If some of them logged in from a secondary blog, they’re also registered as that blog members.
But in both case, if you compare the number of members in wp_users table, you should see the same number on BP members directory. If you have 14 members in the table (see phpmyadmin for that) and only 8 are on members directory, it is possible that 6 have never logged in since they registered their account.
How many users are in the signup table ?
Have all members on wp-admin/network/users.php page a last activity date ? Or have some a mention No recent activity ?Have you tested with a twenty theme ?
