@mercime
Participant@ed161718 just checked the codes you posted. For the catch box theme, you would need to revise 16 template files from the BP template folders transferred to your theme folder in wp-content/themes/catch-box/ during the Appearance > BP Compatibility process. If you still want the instructions, let me know.

@mercime
Participant@bifrost do activate BP and Template Pack plugins. Know that volunteers here live in different time zones and if they/I don’t see what’s going on, it’s going to be guessing game.

Roger Coathup
ParticipantIf you want to add additional Javascripts — use wp_enqueue_script() to load them.
Put your wp_enqueue_script() calls in your theme’s functions.php file.
[Edit: and of course, remember to upload your scripts to the server. In bp-default theme, the scripts typically reside in the _inc folder, but put them wherever works best for your theme.
August 27, 2012 at 10:24 pm #140387In reply to: how to modify core buddypress
Roger Coathup
ParticipantYou can use the filter bp_get_group_join_button to modify the class.
Have a read up on WordPress filters and actions.
You can put your filter in bp-custom.php or functions.php.
That said, I’m not sure what simply adding a class ‘confirm’ will achieve — is there some Javascript configured that will auto display a confirmation popup if the button has a class of ‘confirm’ added to it?

ParticipantI haven’t solved the problem yet, Here’s were I’m looking https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/add_filter
Here’s were I think the filter needs to be added?
`
* @uses bp_insert_activity_meta()
* @uses apply_filters_ref_array() To call the ‘bp_get_activity_action’ hook
*
* @return string The activity action
*/
function bp_get_activity_action() {
global $activities_template;$action = $activities_template->activity->action;
$action = apply_filters_ref_array( ‘bp_get_activity_action_pre_meta’, array( $action, &$activities_template->activity ) );if ( !empty( $action ) )
$action = bp_insert_activity_meta( $action );return apply_filters_ref_array( ‘bp_get_activity_action’, array( $action, &$activities_template->activity ) );
}

Participant@chouf1 thank you for following up with this.
The language «html» is not working for me now as well. I just checked an old post. And when I click on Edit Topic link, I get [ sourcecode language=””html”” ] … double quotation marks.
But [ javascript ] [ /javascript ] is working
August 27, 2012 at 4:18 pm #140366danbpfr
Participant@mercime, it seems that the word «php» is censored somehow

Tag [ code language= ” php ” ] bla bla [ / code ]
Word php is stripped. In the DB i see this [ code language=” ” ” ” ]August 27, 2012 at 4:05 pm #140364In reply to: how to make these links work?
raminjan
Participantwell what I did was modem that I looked up the page in firefox and copied the code in my sidebar but the problem is the address the links refer to, in one part of it, it had my name in it which refers to my account but if I delete my name in that address those links will go to not found page what I need is to move the buddypress navigation to my sidebar just like facebooks menu without any broken links.

ParticipantI just found solution here:
https://buddypress.org/community/groups/how-to-and-troubleshooting/forum/topic/making-bp_has_activities-have-a-global-scope/But it helps when I go to single member page. When I go to single group page (let’s say called Sport) then it displays last activities of Sport group only while I want to display last 5 activities of all groups.

ParticipantSome progress in debuging…
When i insert
[ sourcecode language=” php ” ][ /sourcecode ]
and open the post for editing, i get [ sourcecode language=”””” ][ /sourcecode ]
The word php disappeared and the place is double quoted !Then i save these changes and the code cames up, but without colored synthax.
This is a first step on the right way. Colors are missing but code is showing correctly at 90%
Single quotes became curly for ex.Probably backpress kses filtering.
I tried to deactivate BP’s filters bp_get_the_topic_post_content wptexturize and bp_get_the_topic_post_content bp_forums_filter_kses, but this changed nothing.
I posted on the support forum, but it seems still for a long time ago.

August 27, 2012 at 12:24 pm #140331In reply to: [Resolved] Customising Alyeska Theme for Buddypress
@mercime
Participant@keats18 Each theme has a different solution depending on the HTML structure, so you need to start a new topic for your own theme ( as I see you have now https://buddypress.org/community/groups/installing-buddypress/forum/topic/html-changes-for-akita-theme/ )
Please don’t post big blocks of code here but in pastebin.com, then post the generated URI in your post.
August 27, 2012 at 11:24 am #140358In reply to: Buddypress and Multisite
@mercime
Participant@bhappy yes you can go multisite after BP is installed. Before you go multisite
– backup database and server files, just in case something goes awry
– deactivate all plugins (including BuddyPress) and change to Twenty Eleven theme
– create a network (go multisite) and check that all is in working order
– activate BuddyPress et alAugust 27, 2012 at 11:15 am #140356@mercime
Participant@ed161718 open up your theme’s header.php with a text editor, copy all code, paste code in pastebin.com, click submit and post the generated URL here. Do the same for your catchbox theme’s index.php, page.php, sidebar.php and footer.php files.
