ParticipantMy bad I forgot the “/”, you’ll see more clearly now.
If I type something like this in the photo’s description : “It’s a test” it’s displaying ‘It’s a test’ (there’s a / between the t and the s)

ParticipantHi @johnwinch42,
Could you clearly explain exactly what your problem is? Surely if you type in “It’s a test” in the image description then you want the description of the image to display as “It’s a test”. That’s what you’ve described in your problem…
If you could give a bit more clarity on your problem. Will be more than willing to provide some assistance if possible.

Moderator@mercime, I don’t know exactly when it will be ready for release – there are to many ideas I want to implement. First of all: profile pages, projects directory, rich editor and more complicated projects pages. Then – global statistic, better overall management, task/project discussion feature…
The problem is that I’m coding in my free time (that’s only 3 hours per day max)…September 8, 2010 at 9:35 am #91850In reply to: Login textboxes

Participant@cameroncameron BB code tags don’t work, I edited your post to correct.
That doesn’t look like bp-default theme to me but a modified version, generally issues with custom themes will need to be taken up with the theme author, but as Roger has explained using debugging tools such as Firebug will help you navigate and locate code.

KeymasterHi Micah,
Try this:

September 8, 2010 at 1:59 am #91828In reply to: Is it possible to with BuddyPress?
r-a-y
KeymasterThis is more of a WordPress thing, but yes, it’s possible.
Though, I would do it with only one page.
eg. example.com/dashboardNo need to create pages for every single user in your userbase!
I would create a custom page template wrapped around an “is_user_logged_in()” conditional so only logged in users can view it.
Then the admin can add whatever content s/he chooses for the “dashboard” page in the WP Page Admin area.

KeymasterMight want to try Cubepoints BuddyPress integration… will probably need to be modified to do what you want.

Not publically released at the moment. Only available for testing at testbp.org.

KeymasterHi, sorry for the late reply.
You’ll have to create your own function that uses a SQL query to grab the count of people matching that particular xprofile field.
For hints, check out any of the functions that uses a SQL query and “count” in /buddypress/bp-core/bp-core-classes.php

ParticipantIn your WP dashboard, go to “Users” and check the box next to the name of the user highlighted in red. Then, select “Not Spam” from the “Bulk Actions” dropdown (top or bottom of your user list). Click “Apply”. Should do it.

Participanttrue… good point… I guess you are both right in that regard.
It was maybe just that the contrast between the wealth of free plugins available at WordPress and the modest amount here at Buddypress. And next to that: I am actually very happy to pay for great software, the problem is only that with some of the premium sites you first have to pay before you can even test if you like what they have to offer. But I guess it isn’t possible to code a plugin in a way that it expires after sometime of being used…

techguy
ParticipantBPDev has a paid plugin that can do the first step: http://buddydev.com/buddypress/introducing-bp-gallery-rc4-for-buddypress-time-to-get-stable-in-next-week-now/ It requires a modification to the plugin, but the details to do so are in the forums. I haven’t seen the second part yet, but I think the BP Media plugin is working on that.
September 7, 2010 at 6:09 pm #91797In reply to: Gallery /2x Galleries??
@mercime
ParticipantThere are three free and one membership media plugins compatible with BP 1.2+, There are features you listed above which may be availble in some but not all and you can decide what you want to use.
1. BuddyPress Media Component – https://buddypress.org/community/groups/buddypress-kaltura-media-component/
2. BuddyPress Media nee Album+ a GSOC project – https://buddypress.org/community/groups/bp-album/
3. Post video players slideshow and photo galleries – https://buddypress.org/community/groups/post-rich-videos-and-photos-galleries/
4. Membership plugin – BP GallerySeptember 7, 2010 at 6:00 pm #91796In reply to: Nested Comments are not indenting
Dainismichel
Participant@hnla ok, so we should just hang out right, cuz this issue will go away with an upgrade soon? otherwise, i bet there’s a pretty easy little CSS trick one could pull…like adding a rt border to a style so all the “nested” comments have a line to the right of them, and then that line stops upon the next “thread-starting” comment…i just can’t find the right style to change…
