I worked with r-a-y as a paid consultant and am pretty sure we completed “deep integration.” However, when I activate the theme, I get
Fatal error: Call to undefined function bloginfo() in /home/dainis/community.urine-therapy.org/forums/my-templates/bbbp-default/header.php on line 14
…does that mean that I don’t have deep integration working?

Well, The plugin was just a small hack, as I could not see any filters to accomplish what Greg wanted. So, I hacked around status to get rid of that.
About forums being part of group, I believe it should be better left to the site owners to decide and not to force them of a particular structure. Options are always better, so If possible, It would have been great to give the site owners the options.
Now about Plugin features.
It is easy to add an option to allow group admins to select whether to allow non members to post or not, I can add that easily. The difficult part id muting the text “You will auto join this group” as It is theme based and sniffing on gettext is not what I prefer as for something small as this the overhead will be too much.
May be we can request @apeatling and he may provide easier options like filters for disabing/enabling auto joining and a filter to mute the text.So this hack will no more be even required.

2. I went to this forum to post this reply and had to go all the way to the last page just to find the reply field. It dawned on me that it’s like that in my own theme as well. I plan on adding “reply” links/buttons along the way to jump to that form as it’s certainly not intuitive to do so if you’d like to reply and not read the entire thread (I realize that may be a bad thing in and of itself to some)
When in your Profile page looking at your follower list, if you reciprocate (follow someone back), the count does not update on the “Follow (n)” tab unless you refresh your browser. Not a serious bug.
This is a nice option and, perhaps could use even more refinement as it is not as black and white as Greg suggests on @Brajesh‘s site. Yes, the way @Andy makes use of groups as plugin vehicles here on bp.org does create the problem @greg illustrates but there are other use cases where you’d want to keep it on. I think adding the ability to have the group admin turn this on/off on a group by group basis would allow the group type to dictate.
@greg I disagree that groups and discussions are necessarily separate. That was one of the much needed evolutions of forums…the ability to have a contextually aggregated place for stuff ie a group that also had a discussion component to ti, among other features. In a sense, the discussion belongs to the group, not some generic mess of topics. Not to diminish your point, but there can be great utility in “if you want to participate in this discussion, you must be a part of this group” I know in some implementations, it might dissuade new members but in others it was just what was needed
I’m finding the shade of light blue chosen for a:link to be really, really eyestrainy on the #888 backgrounds especially, at least on my CRT here at home.
When a plugin is updated, the group page version number and readme.txt content is updated immediately — ace! However, “Last Updated” hasn’t updated.
1and1 works fine with WordPress. I run a number of sites with 1and1 not an issue, only MU does not work. I know this is marked resolved I have been testing Buddypress and MU for a while now, and It has nothing to do with BuddyPress. It is an MU issue with 1and1
@dennis_h The “jq” variable was added in BuddyPress 1.2.3. Not being on the latest BuddyPress would give you that error. What version are you running?
@Erich73 On WPMU, the user database is shared between all sites. The user registration is executed on the main blog. In Welcome Pack’s case, there’s not a lot of difference therefore if it runs sitewide or on a per-blog basis, so I set it to run sitewide just in case there is some unusual way that WordPress user accounts can be added.
Works fine for me in Chrome. Might be browser caching.

In short: get_activity_id should hash the posturl instead of blogurl AND you need to remove its action piece.
— not ideal per a reference to blogurl to remove a feed, but working, 1.2.3/2.9.2 in production and higher versions in test. Rich also informed author Andy @apeatling and Andy has said he will get to it.

Site is COMPLETELY jacked up in Chrome. I thought something had really screwed up the previous version. Finally opened it in Firefox and it’s completely different.
When you go to a users profile and hit the followers link a lone “a” shows in the upper left hand corner.
