I activated all the ones I used, and BuddyPress is still working. I guess it was just a fluke. Thank you so much for the help!

That is what is so confusing, Youzer is deleted. Ok I deactivated everything and Buddypress is working. So now I active each one to see where the problem is?

Try deactivating your other plugins and see if BuddyPress alone is working. That error points to Youzer.

I have a site set up with WordPress and have BuddyPress installed on it. I am running the GeneterePress Theme currently on my site. When I log in as a user to test the site I have an issue when uploading a new profile picture. I can select a photo and click upload but it will not show my profile picture when the crop option pops up. I can hit crop but not see anything and it will upload my profile picture. I need to change it where the user can see their photo when the crop option pops up. I have already deactivated all my plugins and tried different themes, it did not fix my issue..

If anyone can help me that would be great. Please help me.

I hope someone can help me please. I installed BuddyPress a few days ago and it has been working great so far. Suddenly it stopped. All the related pages show up blank. Profile, Register etc. I deactivated plugins I have installed in the mean time. I uninstalled BP and reinstalled. I followed some solutions I found online, but no luck. I am at a loss for what is going wrong. Any ideas?

When I attempt to send a direct message I am presented with a loading screen that never completes loading. I am unsure where the issue lies as I am somewhat new to using BuddyPress and creating a social media platform.

I am using WPCOM Designs “Reign” theme with the Youzer plugin from codecanyon. The issue may be from Youzer, as messaging was working prior to installing it. I really like the plugin (and I have already purchased it so I’m dedicated to make it function correctly).

Any guidance towards the appropriate plugin files in the editor with whatever snippets of coding that may help would be greatly appreciated!

Topic: Hidden groups not visible to members under “My groups”

The title is essentially it. If I have a hidden group (which I prefer so that people can’t request access to it) then members of that group do not see it listed under “My Groups.” The group is, however, counted in the number badge on the “My Groups” tab.

There doesn’t seem to be any good reason why hidden groups should be hidden from the group members. Is that an anomaly? Is there some way to fix it?

Using WP 5.2.1, Buddypress 4.3.0, bbPress 2.5.14.
Theme is Twenty Sixteen, Version 2.0.

And as the ‘Private Messages’ are part of BuddyPress can you please check it with BuddyPress support forum as BuddyPress is third party plugin and providing support to third party plugin is beyond our support scope.

BuddyPress does not include any code re LearnDash.

There are other plugins that provide the LearnDash code for integration with BP.
Perhaps you are using one of them – https://www.learndash.com/add-on/buddypress/

To change the order, you need to find the code that is creating the list of courses and make your adjustments in that code.

iow. This is not a BuddyPress issue.

The sync is only within the installation. No outside data is involved.
It syncs some fields from the WP users table and the BP xprofile fields table – mainly the name fields.
See this file for more details: buddypress\bp-xprofile\bp-xprofile-functions.php

Hello Everyone,

I am in the process of designing and developing a Web Application that sits on top of BuddyPress. I haven’t been able to find too much information on Profile Syncing aside from the fact that it synchronizes WordPress and BuddyPress profiles. That isn’t too helpful as I gathered that from the text in the Setting itself. What I want to know is, does that mean it syncs the profile with WordPress.com, or WordPress.org? I want my BuddyPress profiles to be standalone. I want the logins, profiles, etc to be unique to my BuddyPress install only. Any information on this feature would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

I’d like to suggest modernizing “private messaging” so it’s more suitable for 2019 than 2009.

This would include allowing messages to be edited, even if for only a few minutes. The simple fact is, many of us are not perfect and make typos.

Back in 2009 people would say “it’s not possible” but they’ve been proven wrong over the last ten years as various websites and software vendors have come up with ways to support editing PMs, even if only for a short while 🙂

But if the smart people behind BuddyPress don’t like the idea, maybe they could add a simple “preview” message feature?

Also, it would be nice if private messaging could support paragraphs, like normal html has all these years.

I find it frustrating to have to physically put in a period to space out my paragraphs so they all don’t squish together after posting.

So what do you think? Should the smart people behind BuddyPress modernize the PM system?

This is what i am not asking. I mean to say buddypress scripts are running on every pages where buddypress has no work on that page. what i want that i buddypress script run only on buddypress pages not anywhere else.

hi,

i get one solution at least to see link for reset password, the solution is :

You need to switch the brackets from “<” and “>” to “(” and “)” in your code within your wp-login.php in use

Open up your WordPress folder & edit wp-login.php file in editor.

Now find below line
```
$message .= ‘<‘ . network_site_url(“wp-login.php?action=rp&key=$key&login=” . rawurlencode($user_login), ‘login’) . “>\r\n”;
You simply have to replace “<” & “>” with “(” & “)”.
```
Now code will look like below

$message .= ‘(‘ . network_site_url(“wp-login.php?action=rp&key=$key&login=” . rawurlencode($user_login), ‘login’) . “)\r\n”;

I want to say that i have hack BPmail with adfilter to use Wpmail because i am using SMTP so for me this solution working and i can see link

BUT, i still do not see email reset password on Email List of Buddypress someone has solution please ?

Theme: aardvark
Can’t test it on default theme because aardvark will reset and I will lose literally 3 hours of customizaition progress

Basically I click the comment button on a post on my profile. I type in a comment and once posted the comment appears nested. however upon reloading the page the comment goes to the top of the page and it does not show that it is a comment

The failure to find buddypress.min.css is a clue.

What is pagespeed.ce ?
Ask your hosting provider if you aren’t sure.
It might be a cacheing plugin.
Or maybe a CDN.

First thing you should try is disabling all plugins, except buddypress. It could be in incompatibility with another plugin.

First of all, thanks you for making Buddypress! This is a cool extension! 🙂

I have a problem with my Buddypress plug-in, I don’t know if it happen to many of us or not, on my forum I got some “dark themes” and I don’t find any options to configure the colors of my Buddypress plug-in, here’s a picture which show what I see on my forum. I tried to see if is there any settings to config but don’t see anything from.. Tried to change the theme color and it doesn’t change.
So I’m totally lost, maybe you could add a color editor in the futur ?

Hi all
Has anyone had this before:
– Buddypress user posts a post in a group
– I comment on it (as site/group admin – not sure what happens if another user does)
– Refresh page, post disappeared!
– Looking in Stream logs, it says I marked the post as spam
– Looking in Activity, where the post should be, it says “The site is experiencing technical difficulties. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”
– Checking the email box, I have the following email:

“Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a
plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you
with this automated email.

In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, BuddyPress.”

This has happened twice on my site now. Can anyone please help?
