Topic: Home theme not working
I’ve followed the readme install file but I’m having some problems getting the default Buddypress Homepage to work. Right now, as you can see if you visit, wearelabor.com, the homepage theme is activated but it doesn’t look like there’s any css working on it.
I’ve got /buddypress-home in the wp-content/themes/ folder. What am I missing?
Also, incidentally, the member-themes didn’t show up/work until I moved them from the wp-content folder to the wp-content/themes/.
Any idea what I’m doing wrong?
I wanted a little plugin to allow Force Login on bbPress forum when integration with buddypress. I altered mdawaffe’s plugin and thought I would share it with the community!

?>Just a note that this might only work with 1.0 alpha series of bbpress, but that makes sense since forums plugin of buddypress needs 1.0 anyways.

I’m playing arround with buddypress trunk 658 and wpmu 2.6.5 and find some small disfunctions like these HTML errors, rendered by bp-activity-widgets.php i think.

name and id are the same and XML syntax is wrong: underscore is not allowed for name start, only a letter.

just installed buddypress on my site http://www.behboodi.net everything else working but in center column where It shows recent members one is ,admin, and one is ,sajjadkhan, which is my user test blog. when I click on user ‘sajjadkhan’ It shows

Hi, does anyone know how to remove the “Blogs” links from the admin bar and the user bar on the profile pages. I’m not using the blogs feature on buddypress and don’t need to have the links.

I’m building a membership site using WP and I really like the features offered in Buddypress. But upgrading to WPMU is a bit over my non-technical head.
So, anyone aware of any plugins or services that can provide similar functionality using plain old WP?

Topic: junk characters?
Hi! Since trunk r571 I have been getting junk characters on both the site and the dashboard. I will cut and paste them but I am expecting them to not show up properly.

Today I tried r654 and still get the characters. If I take buddypress off the WPMU installation, no junk characters. So it is related. I have tried multiple methods of installing BP to see if something is getting corrupted during transfer, but it happens no matter what I do.
I am using WPMU 2.7.
Can anyone help me? Is this happening to anyone else?
Also happening since trunk r654 is that any site pages with /members/ are a blank white screen.
I’m using WPMU 2.6.5 and on the bbpress forums it says the stable version of bbpess won’t work with 2.6. Over at the wpmu forums they say that the alpha version is working with 2.6. Alpha sounds scary to me, what with Buddypress still being beta. God, I feel like a Greek.
Anyway, which to use:
The latest stable version of bbPress is “Brubeck†version 0.9.0.3 or,
The latest test build of the unstable version of bbPress is 1.0-Alpha-2
I’m using trunk r654, which probably won’t be the latest by the time I post this. Can’t wait till this baby’s released and marinates for awhile. lol
And, of course, my site is nowhere near ready for prime time.
