Topic: groups: send invites
I’m testing on testbp.org
I’ve 13 friends and i created a group “buddypress spain”. Trying to invite some friends and i get the message “You either need to build up your friends list, or your friends have already been invited or are current members”
I have a friend list, they aren’t current members and i didn’t invite any of them.
Is this a bug? Should I open a ticket for this?

Just finished French translation of language files.
Testing them and they should be available soon.
I have heard of another French speaking team working on it.
Hopefully we’ll be able to compare and proofread our versions to offer a great language file to those interested in a French version of BuddyPress.

Après un petit test, ils seront disponibles sur codex.buddypress.org, dans la catégorie Languages.
Une autre équipe, du Québec – a travaillé de son côté sur cette tâche. La comparaison des deux fichiers devrait permettre la sortie d’une version française de BuddyPress de qualité.

I get an error whenever trying to access the page displaying a group page:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare bp_is_page() (previously declared in …[path]…/wp-content/mu-plugins/bp-core/bp-core-templatetags.php:398) in …[path]…/wp-content/member-themes/buddypress-home/functions.php on line 66
WP-MU Ver. 2.7-beta3-9922 and BP rev.639 …yes, I know 2.7 isn’t fully supported but this part worked without a hitch a few days ago before I reinstalled. Also have bbPress 0.902 installed.
The groups can be joined, but then the following group page display results in this error.
Anyone else have this problem or suggest a fix?
Just upgraded to r635 and I lost some recent blog posts entries in the widget. It only leaves two blog post: my blog post and another one belong to the default ‘admin’ user. Other users blog information in http://www.example.com/members/%5Busername%5D/blogs are missing. Buddypress said that they haven’t created any blogs yet, which is wrong.
The blog list in the WPMU admin is OK. The blogs are still there, but it’s not listed in the user blog list (except for my user & the admin user). So I assume it’s a relational issue
Buddypress use separate table to list each user blogs isn’t it? Can someone tell me where to look for the mistake? I’ve checked
wp_bp_user_blogsbut I see no problem (every users are related with their blogs).I’m sorry but I didn’t recall which revision number I used before the upgrade.
Topic: Groups Home Theme Dependency
It appears that somewhere between r599 and r638 some sort of dependency was added to the groups component so that group pages will only display when the buddypress-home theme is active on the main site.
I currently run a custom home theme on my BP install but have the buddypress-home and buddypress-member themes installed. Previously the group pages worked without a problem and were displayed as expected using the buddypress-member theme styling. However, since upgrading the entire install to r638 attempting to access any group page (domain.com/groups/test-group) results in just a white page when the custom theme is active. If, however, I switch to the buddypress-home theme everything displays correctly. I’ve analyzed the source for the page as well as the Trac and BuddyPress code for the group page but can’t find what might be causing it.
I’ve been looking for a few hours for the cause of this but have been unsuccessful and was hoping someone could help out or point me in the right direction.

Please can someone explain in very easy steps how to change the language of BuddyPress installation? The starting point is the clean English installation of WPMU + BuddyPress.

@wakuza I hate to appear stupid and ‘american’ but what language is that everyone on your site is using? This is a real question. I honestly don’t know and I’m curious.
Also that little floater bar you have going on is interesting. It’s like a banner that can’t be ignored. I can dismiss it by clicking on the big red X button but it comes back when I revisit the original page. If i dismiss it, shouldn’t it stay gone? Perhaps a cookie check for ‘user turned of announcement bar’ maybe?
I see it takes me to a placeholder for the forums in the bp home theme. It’s difficult to determine what I’m looking at since I don’t know what language it is. Google translate needs to know what language to translate from
