ParticipantI have 5 websites with separate system and separate buddypress. I am suing only one database and I have the same table for users and usermeta.
How could I make then to the activity, friends, messages, etc. so all the buddypress data (or except dashboard settings) be synced? 😀April 6, 2013 at 7:18 pm #160138In reply to: Ascii Characters in Email

ParticipantHi, I’m also still having this issue… My site name Texas A&M etc… becomes Texas A&M etc.. in buddypress emails. I’m running BP 1.7 beta 1 and latest WP.

ParticipantA very simple solution and you don’t really want to be running a plugin, you modify the loop for those pages passing a new per_page quantity through, which I suspect one of those post links is showing? If you look in the codex you will see examples of the methods of passing args to modify the loops.
On the members loop you would do:
( bp_has_members( bp_ajax_querystring( ‘members’ ) . ‘&per_page=15’ ) )April 6, 2013 at 5:08 pm #160129In reply to: Changing Buddypress database table

ParticipantYou either want one of two things: 1. a separate install per site or 2. the BP data shared across those installs.
This is why I asked you explain what you wanted to achieve.
bp_enable_multiblog is intended to allow the BP links to work under the subsite so you are not taken back to root blog.
I find it confusing that you talk about changing DB prefixes I would have thought there is never a case where one would want to do this.
So once again please explain how your setup functions, what exactly isn’t happening as you want it, then a solution may present it’s self.

ModeratorAlmost all newer Androids with os 4+ should be ok. You might as well allow the option. There are just too many Android devices to ever be 100% compatabile. If a Android device doesn’t work it is most likely a browser issue and you can suggest user to install a better browser

ParticipantAre you certain that you don’t just need BP_ENABLE_MULTIBLOG (although 1.7 onwards doesn’t need this as it’s meant to be able to activate bp on individual sites)

ParticipantWhat exactly is the default database table in BP? it has a few tables.
Where are you intending on saving data to? and load from where.
Try explaining the circumstances, what your requirement are, why it is you need to do this not how you want to approach it, that way someone with the knowledge will be able to – hopefully – suggest a best approach or solution.
btw what is meant by [HOT] in that subject title? if it has no real relevance can you avoid doing that? 🙂

Participant@epatrick
Just to illustrate why it’s NOT a BP issue. You are missing a series of styles that are getting generated and injected into the head of each page (not a good approach but hey ho)
e.g. .skinset-menu{}Now quite why these styles are not getting added to actual single groups although they are to the parent directory is a question only the theme authors can answer.
it’s their theme and their approach to applying their styles and functions, as to why their approach doesn’t work on the group single views is only something that can be understood by de-constructing the theme as we and BP have no knowledge of that it’s next to impossible to help, thus it IS their duty to help or guide you, perhaps a setting you’ve missed in the backend?
I don’t mean this to sound unhelpful on our part but just trying to point out the issues from our perspective.

Participant@epatrick Sorry that’s not an acceptable position for them to take, they provide a theme that is BP ready and as that theme, as I have said, looks fairly complex there is likely a level of knowledge required of the theme and how it works in order to effect changes at the least I would expect them to have a look after all it may be as simple as adjusting a few rules in the BP styles they keep in their custom folder?
