ParticipantI didn’t see any duplicate groups in the image you posted above. You would have to check whether there are duplicate entries in your database?
While testing BP 1.7 trunk, I suggest that you revert to the BP Default theme and deactivate all plugins except BuddyPress. Clear cache and check out the BP components pages.

Participantfull width still has not changed, but I discovered something interesting,
as you can see in the picture above, the group displayed twice
the same thing is happening with the users, appear twice, not once
maybe something in the database is wrong?February 13, 2013 at 10:25 am #152958In reply to: BuddyPress Compatible

KeymasterPlugins which work on 1.6.x that don’t work on 1.7/trunk should be reported on https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org as a regression.

ParticipantTO answer your questions @mercime….before going back to scratch, what exactly was done re menu? Was a plugin created or was it addressed via theme’s functions.php? Have you tried reverting to BP Default theme to check if issue is resolved?
1. it was not a plugin he created it was addressed via the themes functions.php
2. yes I have tried reverting back to the default theme but the pages are still missing.
3. He has taken out the code now too.February 13, 2013 at 7:25 am #152950In reply to: Theme Compatibility problem

1. deactivate the BP Template Pack plugin.2. delete the 6 BP folders transferred to your Continuum theme folder in server i.e. wp-content/themes/continuum namely: /activity, /blogs, /forums, /groups, /members, /registration
3. clear cache and check out your BP pages again.

Participant@kraigg thanks for posting back. Yes, there are plugins which will need to be upgraded for BP 1.7
@webifiedgeek have you deactivated all plugins other than BuddyPress?February 13, 2013 at 4:31 am #152944In reply to: [Resolved] BP 1.7 Template Core Issue

ParticipantIn my case I tracked this error to the “BuddyPress Global Unified search” plugin, which no longer works with the BuddyPress 1.7 trunk

ParticipantI am receiving the same identical error on non-BuddyPress pages.
I have pages I created through WordPress (Dashboard > Pages > Add New), such as Help, Contact, Home. All these pages display the error message at the top of the page.

ParticipantOkay. Thank you, @mercime. I appreciate your help.

@mercime
ParticipantI want to assign my Site Tracking to a different page.
@km-schafer-1
1. wp-admin Pages > Add New and title it “Sites” then click Publish
2. wp-admin Settings > BuddyPress > Pages and assign the new Sites page to site trackingAlso, every time I create a new site, when I click on it, I am taken to another installation of WordPress.
Something’s gone awry with your multisite installation. Did you follow instructions at https://codex.wordpress.org/Create_A_Network ?
At this stage, deactivate BuddyPress then create a subsite. If you are still being redirected to another WP install, please post the issue at https://wordpress.org/support/forum/multisite
Please make sure that your multisite issue is resolved before re-activating BuddyPress.

ParticipantDo I need to re-install multi-site and chose to have the subdomains appears after my domain name instead of before it?
For example, do I need to have this: http://www.gumpolen.com/cliffs instead of http://www.cliffs/gumpolen.com?

Participant@patrykos360 https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/roadmap – 8 more tickets at this time for BP 1.7. Yes, you will no longer have to edit the BP template files.
You can test BP 1.7 out by downloading trunk version via:
SVN – svn co https://buddypress.svn.wordpress.org/trunk/ OR
ZIP file – https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/browser/trunk then click on “Zip Archive” near bottom of page and download to computer hard drive. Rename the zip folder from trunk-xxx to buddypress before uploading.February 12, 2013 at 8:16 pm #152922@mercime
Participant@jackalo9 Open up BP Template Pack plugin’s bp.css file in your server wp-content/plugins/bp-template-pack/ and replace all styles with http://pastebin.com/BKW3ZD8r and adjust to taste

ParticipantI doubt that the author behind it took for free
version 1.7 BP when it is added? 🙂
will no longer need to edit these files to the template?February 12, 2013 at 6:12 pm #152917Ronnie
Participant@Chouf1…as far as i know my buddypress is up to date. It doesn’t say on my plugin page that the version is due for an update. As a matter of fact, on the plugin page, it says the version i have installed is 1.6.4, so i’m confused why it’s saying otherwise.
@mercime…The theme i’m using is wp-bold from http://www.solostream.com. They tried to help me add code to the custom.css to force it to style the submit buttongs by using “important!” but it wouldn’t give. Do you have any suggested code i should add to my custom.css?Thank you for your responses!
