@mercime
Participant@allentan there’s something awry with your installation if you keep giving me the code for the Group Directory Index when I ask for your Clearphoto theme’s index.php file. Assuming you have the original zipped file of your Clearphoto theme, I suggest that you delete the clearphoto theme in your server via Appearance > Themes > Clearphoto – delete. Then reinstall Clearphoto for a clean slate.
Activate BP Template Pack plugin and go through Appearance > BP Compatibility process. Again, for a clean setup.
Then download BP Template Pack folders in your theme’s folder in server – /activity, /blogs, /forums, /groups, /members, and /registration
Based on the HTML structure of your theme, you’d need to use the first option, i.e., change 16 template files within the 6 BP folders transferred to your Clearphoto theme folder in server during the compatibility process.
Download the 6 clean BP folders to your computer hard drive.
A. At the top of each of those 16 template files I linked to above, replace
``with
`<?php if ( function_exists('yoast_breadcrumb') ) { yoast_breadcrumb('‘,’
‘); } ?>
`

MemberI would also like to add that I don’t know coding, I don’t know the CSS, but I’m willing, so if I need to put something somewhere, just tell me what and where I can find the file exactly.

ParticipantI’d really like a solution to this as well. I noticed that these forums have some with a lock symbol, and that’s exactly what I’d like to see.
Any thoughts on or solutions to this yet?
Thanks!
March 19, 2012 at 11:44 pm #131639In reply to: How to edit Activity item layout?
@mercime
Participant#1) – If the user clicks on the date of an activity item re a blog post, the user is brought to the single blog post .
– If the user clicks on the date of an activity item re a forum topic, the user is brought to the forum topic page
– If the user click clicks on the date of other activity items, the user is brought to members/single/activity/permalink.php page. You could add HTML structure just after get_header as well as just before get_footer.#2) You can tackle that by adding something this at the bottom of your stylesheet:
`div.activity-header p a.activity-time-since {
clear: left;
float: left;
margin-left: 15px;
margin-top: -30px;
}
.activity-inner > p:first-child {
margin-top: 20px;
word-wrap: break-word;
} `

@mercime
ParticipantThe http://dethuletræ.dk/forums/forum/forum-2/ goes to 404 page. Did you previously create the additional category and topic from the backend or frontend?
Before anything else, to prevent the blank pages and 404’s on BP pages, you need to make your WordPress theme compatible with BuddyPress by installing and activating the BP Template Pack plugin then go through Appearance > BP Compatibility https://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/wordpress-to-buddypress-theme/

Participant== as soon as I mad the site MultiSite, it still has the BuddyPress registration form, but the users aren’t being added to the main site as members, just the network membership. ==
That’s the default WP way when you go multisite even if BuddyPress is deactivated. To get assistance regarding this matter, you should post at Multisite forums https://wordpress.org/support/forum/multisite

MemberBah. Never mind. I’m having one of those days. The bbcode2 plugin works just fine with the latest version of BuddyPress. I thought it wasn’t working because I was doing test posts on my live site instead of the test site where I actually had the plugin installed.

March 18, 2012 at 5:05 am #131552In reply to: User requesting resend of confirmation email
@mercime
Participant@elfirl That is not default behavior.
– WP/BP versions?
– Has this been happening since you first installed WP/BP or since an upgrade to WP/BP or since you installed a plugin or changed to a new theme?
– Finally, have you done some basic troubleshooting like changing to bp-default and deactivating ALL plugins except BuddyPress to check what’s interfering with confirmation email?@paigestormblade the dev trac is not dead, you just need to log in with same username and password you used here. No need to be negative, we’re volunteers living in different time zones with lives outside of BP/WP just trying to help out others.
There was only one forced password reset for the whole WP/BP community due to some breach within the last year. Curious what browser you’re using to log into WP/BP forums. I use either Firefox or Chrome and have had no issues like you’re having.

ParticipantUnless there was a major HTML structure change in the free Platform theme by Pagelines in the last 4 months, you only need to make a few style tweaks to get your BP template files aligned with Platform theme pages after installing and activating the BP template pack plugin per my post here – https://buddypress.org/community/groups/how-to-and-troubleshooting/forum/topic/buddypress-pushes-sidebar-down/
