Hi Prashant,
I’ve installed this plugin “Login Widget With Shortcode” as you recommended to Janaa, and for logging in it works well with a Captcha, but is there a way I can use it to have “Captcha” on the registration form as well?
I’m getting a lot of garbage registrations and would like to prevent/reduce those by using Captcha at the time of registration too.

Hello,

I need help please: when I update to php 7.1 the registration activation is no longer working, the registration works, but instead of the activation page a blank page shows up and the activation email is not sent. Nevertheless a new member in the wordpress database is created. With php 7.0 everything works fine. I hope someone can help me out.

Hi,

Please open this plugin files and go to includes folder and in the core.php file try removing this code add_filter( 'bp_after_activate_content', 'bp_registration_options_bp_after_activate_content' );

If this removes the content then certainly this should remove_filter( 'bp_after_activate_content', 'bp_registration_options_bp_after_activate_content',9999 ); work with some priority changes like we can change priority 9999 to 9.

Hello,

I am using latest version of buddypress and wordpress. The registration process is not working for me. Its just refreshing the page. No data is saving in database. I have tested with deactivating all plugins and also tested with the default theme. But its still not working.

I need to fix this issue as soon as possible. Please help!

Greetings!

I’m using Buddypress 3.2.0 in KLEO Theme on WordPress 4.9.8.

I have an issue that appears every time when someone tries to register on my website: after completing the registration fields and hitting “Sign Up” button, the page refreshes and the process isn’t done properly.

Sometimes the process is working: I can create an account but after that the issue appears again. It is like a 1/10 chance for the process to be done succesfully.

I searched on the forum’s topics related to this question but I couldn’t find something to work and solve the problem for me.

*I’m running a single-site.
*My bp file in directory is named: “BuddyPress”

Any ideas? I really hope you can help me!

I am worried about the strange problem I am facing when user registers. My registration page contains three profile fields from “Base” called Base name, gender, DOB and name.

I noticed frequently users get successfully registered with no update to any of the above mentioned fields. These fields are defined “Required”. I am worried how these fields are not getting updated in database because the registration will not be allowed unless user enters these fields. Is this a bug in buddypress? Or what else otherwise?

Hi ! I change Buddy Press Activate your account e-mail templates and here I only put key which can me manually entered by new user after clicking on registration to active page.

But It’s to big to type. Can anyone please tell me how can I make it very shorten ?

You can do it manually then. Please check this https://wordpress.org/plugins/bp-registration-options/

Using this plugin you can restrict members to their profile only and then can easily approve them one by one.

I have noticed and received many complaints from members that the activation page takes too long to load. It sometimes takes such long time that the browser times out. Is there any solution to load this page quickly? Are there any alternative safe methods for user activation in addition to activation through email?

as the title says…
here’s basically what a new user have to do after registration until accessing their profile page:
1. click activation link from email
2. directed to /activate/blabla_somesortofcode_blabla
3. click ‘activate’
4. login per usual + some navigation until…
5. arrived at profile page at /active/username

— PROBLEM: —
I’m hoping to skip step 3 and 4.
So by doing some backstage abracadabra during step 2, people could magically arrive at their profile page (step 5).

Any idea how to do it?

— ADDITIONAL NOTES: —
I’m currently using this ‘Bp Auto Login On Activation’ plugin which basically automate step 4. But I’m still hoping I could skip step 3 too, I mean… it’s basically just clicking a button, right?

Hello @djpaul, thank you for your willingness to help. I will try to explain my problem. My site is under construction only.

1.When I was not using Ultimate Membership Pro, the registration page was from the BuddyPress plugin (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tXTGRUKgWKCCzTjc1o3F4fSw2pWCJqeT/view?usp=sharing) BuddyPress registration page was also set up in admin (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1p5_4Dn9aqLEnubDaJ4W7Ukah-L0uCN1N/view?usp=sharing). Everything was ok.
2.After installing the Ultimate Membership Pro plugin, I changed BuddyPress registration page settings to Ultimate Membership Pro plugin registration page (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1V0nv7kiF0myE8axrd1AZ33t-Xh7tN8ja/view?usp=sharing). In the Ultimate Membership Pro settings, I set up the same register page (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1asQ9jbL761iyWq48ERHDNSUjMLdCdgTs/view?usp=sharing). The registration page should now be the Ultimate Membership Pro plugin registration page (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ux6VQxQH29Q3DTuII9KzxoVbA2ZRpq2n/view?usp=sharing). However, it is very difficult to get to it. Instead, Buddy Press’s sign-up registration page still appears (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EHKyh5kGsQv1xBNsRJFw2vYB9bImI8gf/view?usp=sharing). But with the URL corresponding to the Ultimate membership Pro registration page (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EHKyh5kGsQv1xBNsRJFw2vYB9bImI8gf/view?usp=sharing).

I’ve tried everything else setting, even turning off other plugins – it did not help. Well thank you.

Good day. Tell me:
1. Is it possible with the help of the plugin to create a registration form on the site, the main purpose of which is to create a certain “box” into which a registered user could download audio, text and other files without access to the main admin site. And have I already been able to create posts or other pages from the admin panel of the site by pulling files out of these “boxes”?
2. Is it possible in this case not to display the page of the registered user on the site?
If so, tell me how to do it or who can help in this matter.
Ps. If you decide to explain how to do this, then make it as easy as possible I am the kettle in this matter.

Hi there,

Im trying to replace my old membership plugin with buddypress.

The problem is I have about 10 websites working with polylang and I understand there is a big problem buddypress working with polylang.

I dont mind having emails with both languages and the relevant registration pages also in both languages but are there any helpful hints how to integrate both?

Hi I am trying to figure out how to do the following. Is there a membership plugin (Restrict Content Pro and Paid Membership Pro I have tried. Does maybe Member Press work?) that will take in XProfile fields in their registration form? I know I can use the BP registration form, however i need a paid subscription option? I have tried Gravity Forms, but understand it does not communicate well on paid subscription (via Stripe or PayPal) to the membership plugin. Any help would be amazing! Thank you!

Is it possible to add captcha to the BP login widget?

I am using Advanced noCaptcha reCaptcha plugin, and it allows me to add captcha to:-
Login Form
Registration Form
Lost Password Form
Reset Password Form
Comment Form
WooCommerce Checkout

but it doesn’t add it to the BP login widget. Does anyone know of a plugin to do this? Or an alternative to the BP login widget?

@prashantvatsh in a quick check I see that Jetpack is likely the problem. I have turned off allowing WP users to login with another account. In the users list, there is a jetpack symbol that alerts me that a couple others in our group may have been logging in this way which means missing information in our membership directory that would have otherwise been collected at registration (ex. name). Thanks for your assistance and I hope this resolves it!
