It’s not discontinued, although @imath has passed development on to someone else. The canonical development repository is now: https://github.com/G3ronim0/rendez-vous

@jdeyla It would be unusual if a plugin that offers the kind of rich functionality that Rendez Vous does worked flawlessly out-of-the-box with your theme. I always expect to do some CSS work to adapt plugin output to my needs.

It’s discontinued, and I’ve tryied it on last BP, but on my theme doesn’t work very well. I need it too and I’looking for someoene to adopt this if the price is right

We may need to be clearer on the steps to replicate this as…
With a twentyseventeen theme, BP trunk, stable bbpress no other plugins.

With an index page displaying the forums list shortcode & search input I can search for forum topics quite happily, returning results to the page showing bbp results.

However tested on single site not MS and use of directory MS rather than sub-domain might be a factor.

Hi Buddypress support,
I am still waiting to get my problem to solve.
While using bbpress search forum then the search result is not displayed, but instead get forward to homepage.

not sure but I guess it was working

GDF_child is from geodirectory (but the problem occur even, if I switch the theme to twenty fourteen)

No

Not as I know, but maybe the geodirectory addon “GeoDirectory BuddyPress Integration 1.1.9″

no build in. version in use is bbPress 2.5.12

Not as I know, but maybe the geodirectory addon “GeoDirectory BuddyPress Integration 1.1.9″

no build in. version in use is bbPress 2.5.12

hello.
i have tested this, with clean installation of wordpress + default wp theme + buddypress .

in the iphone/ipad ( i have tested on iphone 5S , 6 Plus, and ipad air )
go to profile> change profile photo > Select (touch) Upload section > and touch the ’ Select your file’ button.
but the button will not work.
you have to touch 5px or 10px under the button .

i inspected the button with pc, and saw that the .moxie-shim.moxie-shim-html5 is not placed under the button.
the css of bp, made the element to go 5-10px below the button.
so when you push the button there is nothing under it to work.

on the other hand , on android the css is working fine.
i tested on LG g3, and Samsung Tablet Tab A.

would you mind please help me to correct this issue ? or will it be an update/fix for it?

You could just edit the template with the avatar and changebp_group_avatar().

Template :- buddypress\bp-themes\bp-default\groups\single\group-header.php

bp_group_avatar('type=full&width=100&height=100')

Update 1:
– Whenever theme/buddypress.php is loaded, a template redirect hook is fired for theme/404.php.
– The next page returns a 404, except if it’s a single-*.php.

Update 2:
– Most likely, bp_do_404() is triggered.

I do not what could cause impact that.

Hi guys,

I’m also having the same problem.
I tried changing theme to twenty sixteen and twenty seventeen, turning off all of the plugins except buddypress without any success. Also combination of twenty sixteen / twenty seventeen + turned off plugins didn’t work.

Any idea or suggestion what can we do?

Hey, you managed to put up a very beautiful website! Congratulations!

Have you tried Siteground? They do have PHP7. I’m running their shared hosting plan, and after some issues with their terms about number of processes, executions and time, I faced the beast and started to get my hands dirty, removing all plugins, templates, messing with the configuration, putting a default wp template (twenty seventeen), creating my own child theme and messing with functions.php first and then modifying css and php files myself. I have never been a wordpress developer… Not even a php programmer… Just started messing with it on my own, for necessity (and, after a little time, for fun)… Now, I have a website with almost zero plugins (only the essentials), running on php7, http2 and moving in the speed of light, with the lowest server consumption ever…

My advice: dont be afraid of getting your hands dirty.. the code is there, also the documentations, sites, forums, blogs and all kinds of resources 😀

If the WordPress post is from your own site, you can disable the embed footer by adding the following to your theme’s functions.php:

remove_action( 'embed_footer', 'print_embed_sharing_dialog' );

If the WordPress post is not from your own site, you cannot control the footer output for that item.

This should be fine. BuddyPress can handle a huge number of profiles quite easily. Note though, your server hardware will need to be good if there’s lots of site activity.

Is it possible to create PREMADE accounts for all these people (students) ?

Yes but you will need to custom code this.

When people post on the main stream, is it possible for them to post anonymously BUT still logged into their accounts ? Just like ask.fm if anyone remembers that.

Not by default. Each activity item is associated with a member. That said, what is displayed on the front end is entirely up to you (or more specifically, entirely up to your theme author).

The problem is the Activity component only allows certain elements to be shown in the activity stream.

By default, <ol> and <li> are not among those whitelisted elements.

You can override this behavior with the following code snippet in your theme’s functions.php file or via wp-content/plugins/bp-custom.php:

add_filter( 'bp_activity_allowed_tags', function( $retval ) {
	$retval['ul'] = $retval['ol'] = $retval['li'] = array();
	return $retval;
} );
```

Hello,

I am using the BuddyBoss Theme OneSocial Marketplace. I required a ‘monthly’ paid membership option so I decided to use Paid Memberships Pro (I have chosen the Plus level of PMPro).
OneSocial uses BuddyPress for the community portion of the site.

So how I would like the site to work is… Users choose a “membership level” via PMPro which manages their monthly subscriptions but they use BuddyPress Profile and Tools for their “community interactions”…

How do I push the User’s account to their BuddyPress Profile and NOT their PMPro profile??

I have found that “bp-legacy-css-inline-css” code is not loaded.
It’s including cover image and some.
It’s originally after buddypress.min.css.

This has been removed as well when I removed original css code.

I also created a folder (/wp-content/themes/my-theme/buddypress/css/buddypress.css).
It doesn’t load the original one and works fine. But it’s not loading “bp-legacy-css-inline-css”.
That’s why cover images are not showing.

Is there any solution or am I missing something?

A recent Buddypress update modified the previously working css.

It might fix the issue for you, but if it don’t, you have a backup. If that is the case, try another theme.

Make a backup of your Buddypress CSS folder.

Replace the code in avatar.min.css with the code from the link above.

Clear cache in Safari, and try again. If the problem persists, activate a different theme, like Twenty Seventeen, and try it again.
