Participanton the buddypress default theme, at the top of the right hand column, there is a box that includes your avatar, a link to your profile and a logout button.
When you click on the link to your profile, it takes you to your profile tab on your profile page.
I would like it to take me to my Activity tab, on my profile page.August 20, 2012 at 4:14 am #139825In reply to: Theme issue – Page alignment

http://www.mumbaipav.com/about/So in non-BP pages I am able to keep sidebar in rightside or remove it completely if required
Whereas in BP pages sidebar is not in place, also I am not able to remove it completely. I would like to have both option. Keep sidebar in right side when required or remove it completely
Here is my BP page With sidebar displaced at the bottom

MemberI would love to determine if anything I’m using is causing the problem, but we are using a very large theme framework and child theme that I have been developing for a good 4 months. For now we are just going to keep everything on one tab since we are pressed for time. I will keep this tread bookmarked in case I am able to determine where the problem lies.

Participant@kooba ==remove the list background in the BP template files== ?? How to do it??
I mean removing the small circular images with arrows within, the default style of your theme’s unordered lists. In link D above, copy the styles and then paste it at the bottom of your theme’s style.css file.

ParticipantThis issue could be related to your other topic https://buddypress.org/community/groups/how-to-and-troubleshooting/forum/topic/whats-new-textbox-is-a-hyperlink-from-the-activity-page-to-the-activity-page-cycle-wierd/
Since your layout in 2nd install on a test domain is working fine, have you tried re-uploading the Modular_BuddyPress_Child_Theme folder/files to your server manually wp-content/themes/modular/

Participant@travcentralen Your custom theme needs to be updated for BP 1.6. To confirm, change to bp-default theme and check if issue is resolved.

@mercime
Participant@mumbaipav initial scan of your theme’s source code looks like you only need to create two files to complate Step 3 of the BP Compatibility process. Open up your theme’s header.php file, copy all code, paste in pastebin.com, click submit and post the generated URI here. Do the same for index.php, page.php, sidebar.php and footer.php

@mercime
Participant== Once a user enters all the fields and click “Complete Sign up” it just comes back to the same page with no error message. Register in BP-Default Theme works. ==
@igid26 what theme are you using? Has it been updated for BP 1.6?
August 19, 2012 at 10:21 pm #139805In reply to: [Resolved] bp-default theme, profile to activity
@mercime
Participant== there is the constant profile button on every page. ==
@hkcharlie not quite sure what you mean except that every avatar goes to specific member’s profile page. If your adminbar is enabled for logged in members, they can easily go to their activity page with dropdown link in adminbar.

@mercime
Participant@charlietech is this happening even with bp-default theme and all plugins deactivated except BuddyPress? Or with a custom theme or plugins which have not been updated to latest BP version?

ModeratorJust to confirm, the post goes from the list of group activity when you refresh? If that is the case have you tried using (if you can) the BuddyPress default theme – does it do the same thing? Have you any scripting errors on your page for instance JavaScript? Something could be also causing issues like plugins but lets take it step by step.
August 19, 2012 at 8:30 pm #139791In reply to: url with ?upage don’t work
Tammie Lister
ModeratorThe first port of call would be to check if you are using a theme that is updated to BuddyPress 1.6 (if you are using it) or if you have checked using the default BuddyPress theme to see if something in your theme or system wide. Could you confirm either of those please?
August 19, 2012 at 8:28 pm #139790In reply to: Theme issue – Page alignment
Tammie Lister
ModeratorBy alignment do you mean you want them to align to the left or right? Or do you mean you don’t want the page full width like it is. You have no styling on:
‘#main_content’
This probably is the cause of a lot of your issues if want that to control everything in it.
It’s a little hard to work out though what exactly you do want so if you could clarify please that would be great.
August 19, 2012 at 8:26 pm #139789Tammie Lister
ModeratorThis really does look like something in your theme is causing that. Are you using a child theme of BP Default? What theme are you using?
August 19, 2012 at 8:23 pm #139788In reply to: horizontal alignment of menu is off
Tammie Lister
ModeratorMy guess is that this is probably a CSS issue in your theme. However, it’s a bit hard to judge without a link to your site. Would you be able to provide one please?

ModeratorHeadway is probably going to require some different steps as more of a Framework. I know it may sound like passing on advice but I know Headway had (not sure if updated) a leaf for BuddyPress: http://headwaythemes.com/addons/leafs/headway-buddypress-addon/ (currently 404’ing though). My advice would be check that out by contacting Headway.

ModeratorI’m guessing the developer hasn’t tested on mobile yet. What version of iOS and device? You are using BP mobile, is the error happening when in that or when you switch to desktop theme?

ParticipantOK, it is related to my theme. With default theme and my child theme, it doesn’t show groups page. Tried a different theme (Fresco) and everything works. So I’ll try to fix my theme

KeymasterIf you find you need to modify core, then please report tickets to Trac about what you do, and why. At the least, we can add more actions or filters so you can implement your changes without having to modify the core files, and at best, it could be a change that other people might find beneficial that we could consider adding to core.
I cannot recreate your “display name” problem. Have you checked if it is being caused by any other plugin, or a theme, or any of the changes you’ve made to core?

KeymasterSee if the theme is defining its own “ajaxurl” variable in its javascript.
