#1) – If the user clicks on the date of an activity item re a blog post, the user is brought to the single blog post .
– If the user clicks on the date of an activity item re a forum topic, the user is brought to the forum topic page
– If the user click clicks on the date of other activity items, the user is brought to members/single/activity/permalink.php page. You could add HTML structure just after get_header as well as just before get_footer.

#2) You can tackle that by adding something this at the bottom of your stylesheet:

@locustfist To remove “Members” tab on Group Pages, per @boonebgorges BP 1.5 update: add the following to your theme’s functions.php

To get rid of the member count of the Group Directory Page
– download groups-loop.php from here
– change line #61 from ` / ` to “ thereby removing the member count
– upload groups-loop.php to your server wp-content/themes/your-theme-folder/groups/groups-loop.php

BP Default theme has Log In widget on right sidebar as seen in http://testbp.org/
In any case, unless you have a plugin that redirects login to front page, you can always go to either http://yoursite.com/wp-login.php or http://yoursite.com/wp-admin

@allentan Next time, please identify which pastebin links to which theme file.
Confirm – the 1st paste is header.php, the 3rd paste looks like index.php, the 4th paste looks like sidebar.php and the 5th paste is footer.php. Your 2nd paste is BP Groups Index page which I don’t need.

Where is the paste for page.php file? If you want to use full-width, post code for the full-width page. If you want to you left or right sidebar, please post code of your preference.

Add to “nav”; is this.. a WordPress Menu? Something custom implemented in your theme? Hardcoded HTML in your template?

And which Dashboard link, where?

– WP/BP versions?

– If you’re using a WP theme, did you install and activate the BP Template Pack plugin and go through Appearance > BP Compatibility? You should.

– If you’re using a “BP-compatible” theme, have you checked if the theme’s been upgraded for the latest BP/WP versions?

Permalink.php isn’t missing and I think I have made it compatible with my theme, though I’m not sure now. I’ve solved it by doing to following:

IN BP.CSS CHANGED overflow:hidden to visisble on line 73 of ul.activity-list li
IN BP.CSS CHANGED position: relative to static for ul.item-list li on line 1102

I’m not sure of whether this is the right way of doing it.

@horroruk and @abac1000, you’re missing the permalink.php file or have not made it compatible with BuddyPress by changing the HTML structure per compatibility process. After revision, permalink.php should be uploaded to your theme’s folder in your server and following directory structure like so, wp-content/themes/yourthemename/members/single/activity/permalink.php

The http://dethuletræ.dk/forums/forum/forum-2/ goes to 404 page. Did you previously create the additional category and topic from the backend or frontend?

Before anything else, to prevent the blank pages and 404’s on BP pages, you need to make your WordPress theme compatible with BuddyPress by installing and activating the BP Template Pack plugin then go through Appearance > BP Compatibility https://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/wordpress-to-buddypress-theme/

@udotorg two things before we begin with transformation, based on layout in Pages like the About page here http://templatesden.com/TF/WPCMS/denizen/about-us/
:
1. The BP pages title won’t have the same look as the title “About Us” in link above
2. Do you still want the right sidebar included in the layout?

@allentan Open up your clearphoto theme’s header.php file, copy all, and paste at pastebin.com, click submit and post the generated URL here. Do the same for your clearphoto’s index.php, page.php, sidebar.php and footer.php

You’d have to tweak your theme’s single.php, archive.php, index.php and/or loop.php and change regular WP author template tags to that of BP user template tags as seen in bp-default’s index.php, single.php and archive.php for example.

What theme are you using? URI of theme?

@elfirl That is not default behavior.
– WP/BP versions?
– Has this been happening since you first installed WP/BP or since an upgrade to WP/BP or since you installed a plugin or changed to a new theme?
– Finally, have you done some basic troubleshooting like changing to bp-default and deactivating ALL plugins except BuddyPress to check what’s interfering with confirmation email?

@paigestormblade the dev trac is not dead, you just need to log in with same username and password you used here. No need to be negative, we’re volunteers living in different time zones with lives outside of BP/WP just trying to help out others.

There was only one forced password reset for the whole WP/BP community due to some breach within the last year. Curious what browser you’re using to log into WP/BP forums. I use either Firefox or Chrome and have had no issues like you’re having.
