As per a previous post about Group Creation stopping at step 3 ( http://buddypress.org/forums/topic/group-creation-stops-at-step-3#post-18362 ). I’ve updated my installation of BuddyPress to 1.1-rc and wordpress mu to 2.8.4a
I still receive the error “Please complete all previous steps first.”
Anyone have a good direction to point me in?
Maybe I am the only one who never saw this; but there is an excellent debugging tool for PHP : FirePHP ! (exists in a WP plugin version).

So; all you need is to install FirePHP for WordPress and then; instead of testing your codes withs print_r(); echo();die(),exit()…
You could just use FirePHP to send vars to the Firebug console !

Hi, I am making my popular wordpress plugin “SI CAPTCHA” compatible with WPMU and BuddyPress.
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/si-captcha-for-wordpress/Some have requested an optional login CAPTCHA. I have it working on the BP login page, but not in the bp_login_bar. Is there an action hook for that or a way I can add the captcha form field to the bp_login_bar from my plugin?
Thanks for any help.
Also is anybody interested in testing the 1.9 version of SI CAPTCHA on BP before I release it?

WordPress blog since 2006, bbPress forum added in 2008, and now a BuddyPress community. To start with we’re only using extended profiles and private messaging, but will layer in additional features over time.
Very grateful for the powerful platform that Andy and team have created, and for the great support offered by Burt, JJJ, Jeff and all the others on the forum. And of course, _ck_ and others over at the bbPress forum.

Hello ALL,
Three days ago I setup bbpress towards my community on my domain website.
I wanted to setup the bp tool bar in the bbpress page but doesnt seem to work.
bbpress and bp is integrated prefect and works great but when I place the if statement in the bb-config.php to show the tool bar it makes my theme disappear in bbpress and crashes.
This is what I placed in the bb-config.php and activated the plugin after.>>>

You would need to add a line to the style.css of your Atahualpa theme, cross your fingers, and hope for the best.

Template: bp-sn-parentThat will tell WordPress to fall back on bp-sn-parent when Atahualpa doesn’t have files of its own to use. It’s still not a 100% fluid process, because the parent theme has its own CSS that it needs and uses to function and look the part. You can @import the style.css for bp-sn-parent and see if that helps at all too.

Installations of WPMU and BP went like a breeze. You can now activate BP for single or Activate Sitewide – two thumbs up. I did not add any new user nor a new blog yet, so I only activated BP for the main blog, then went to BuddyPress > Forum Setup and got giddy when I saw

Could the devs really have simplified the process of installing and integrating bbpress with WPMU con BuddyPress with ONE CLICK? Awesome.

Manually created the bp-config.php, added info above plus the opening <?php, and uploaded to root at http://example.com/
When I click on the Forum link on front end however, I got blank white screen. Checked if bbpress folder was created in BuddyPress/bp-forums/, there was none. Double-checked in database (36 tables). Didn’t see bbpress tables created.
Since auto install didn’t work, FTP uploaded bbpress folder into bp-forums then run BuddyPress > Forums Set up and got this confirmation:
All done! Configuration settings have been saved to the file bb-config.php in the root of your WordPress install.
And true enough, bb-config.php now showed the database info, salt key etc. just like the WPMU config files. Checked database and there are now 43 tables but bbpress tables were now wp_bb_forums, wp_bb_terms, etc.
Moral of all WP stories: if you can’t auto install, you can always do it the old-fashioned way, FTP upload or via cpanel. Will now go and play with test install. This is a major development, awesome!
