I’m using wordpress version 4.2.2
Buddypress version 2.2.3.1
I am using a child theme of twentyfifteen.
I can’t send a link to my site as it’s still in development.I have a list of public groups on my site, and I would like to add a Join button so anyone can join.
Is this possible?At the moment I have to register, and then choose a group to join. Is this the only way of doing it?

Hey guys. I am trying to display a UserMeta form on my registration page for my site, only I can’t figure out just what to do. I’ve tried so many codes that my mind is racing. I want to place in my UserMeta form so I can turn the Biographical Info into the users actual wordpress bio info, which will appear in author boxes. If there was a way to alter this, in other words, use a code or an app that would transform a buddypress profile field into the users actual bio field, which could then be displayed in author boxes, that would be even better!
Please support. Anything would be amazing! Thank you in advance!

Based on the selection a user makes of a custom field when registering, the correct “Field Group” should appear on their profile (both back-end editing and front-end viewable to the public).
I added a custom profile field to the “Base” group. It is a drop down box called “Account Type” which appears on the registration page.
The options are:
Actor
Producer
DirectorNow the part where I’m stuck.
When registering, if a user selects “Actor”, they should have the “Actor” custom profile field group appear on their profile. If “Producer” is selected, then the “Producer” custom profile field group should appear, etc.
I don’t want this based on WP role which I’ve seen some people use to solve this. Instead, it should be based on the selection of that initial custom profile field “Account Type”.
Either a plugin or custom code would be much appreciated!
I’m using the latest version of BuddyPress V2.2.3.1 and the latest version of WordPress V4.2.2.

I am trying to change my register page. I have selected a new wordpress page in admin, but it doesn’t show the form.
Is there anything else I should do to get this to work?
eg does the page have to be within the section ‘Profile Management’?

Undefined property: stdClass::$idYet if I print_r($bp->displayed_user), the ‘id’ property is there and set.
I am using the latest WordPress and Buddypress.
What am I missing?In my site (http://pickandpopculture.it) buddypress notifications works just on mentions, when I reply to a comment’s user he doesn’t see any kind of notification. Is this problem just of my site?

I’m attempting to understand exactly what:

What I really need to do is find how to change whatever it is that causing the content to go to the “posts” page; then I must change it to post a profile update on the user’s profile page. I’m getting very frustrated trying to dig through the files to understand this.
If someone would be so kind as to assist me with this issue I’m having. I’m creating a new WP website locally. I’m attempting to add Font Awesome icons to the primary menu using the instructions found here. In order to add the icon I need to update the CSS Classes in the menu dashboard. I can do this for all the menu items except the BP ones (i.e. Notifications, Profile etc). I need assistance editing the CSS classes for the bp items added to the primary menu. There was another post on here a year ago from someone else having the same issue, but the post had no responses.

Since the most recent question about LaTeX is about 5 years old, I think it is worth asking again if there is any improved support for this. The de facto LaTeX plug-in for WordPress has got to be QuickLaTeX, it blows the others out of the water, and QuickLaTeX relies upon parsing the text somebody writes, and rendering anything parenthesised by dollar signs $…$ as math. It has an option to apply to the entire site, which is ideal for those building websites involving lots of math.
Now, I am currently involved in designing a learning management system, and what I want is for all text produced by anyuser to be QuickLaTeXable. At the moment, LaTeX renders in many places but not all. In particular, in messages between users in the BuddyPress system it displays raw, as $\int_{a}^{b}f(x)\,dx$ for example. I haven’t tested for every possible context, and you may have a better idea of where/why equations work and don’t work.
Is there any hope of BuddyPress/bbPress working together with QuickLaTeX to produce a solution to the basic problem of having mathematical conversations on a WordPress site?

We are using WordPress Multisite version 4.2.2 with sub-domain folders. We are using the following plugins:
BuddyPress ver. 2.2.3.1, BuddyPress Xprofile Custom Fields Type ver. 2.1.6, and s2Member Framework ver. 150311 + s2Member Pro v150311.
When a user uploads their avatar image to the primary website along with additional BuddyPress Profile Custom Field information the avatar image does not show in the subdomain for the user account. We added the following code to the bp-custom.php file suggested from this link but it still does not allow the profiles images to show in the sub-domain:

I´m running Version 2.2.3.1 of Buddypress on 4.2.2–da_DK of WordPress.
I´m using the “BP Remove Profile Links” to remove the auto created link on profiles.
It works, but I now have a problem with the login form in my sidebar. When I fill in my login details and click “Log ind” nothing happens.
I have deactivated the plugin and now I can login like I used to. So the “BP Remove Profile Links” conflict with the login widget somehow.
Please let me know if there is a smarter way to remove these links on profiles than using the plugin?
