Plugin Idea : This plugin, if made, can really benefit those who are using WP Multisite “Subfolder” and BP.

This plugin aims to correct the “Categories” and Post format links not working from WP 3.3.1, and will probably be not corrected as this basic functionality is lying broken for years.

I have uplouded the files .mo and .po to the folder of the wordpress pcpanel files and, these are not translated.
The route is:
wp-content/languages/plugins/buddypress-2.2.x-es.mo
wp-content/languages/plugins/buddypress-2.2.x-es.po

I have a buddypress site in place and i have a Buddypress Cover plugin installed. The plugin works fine, however its CSS file doesnt load on some dynamic pages created by some other plugins like gallery,pokes etc. I peeked into bp-cover.php file to see where the CSS file is loading. And i found this
add_action( 'wp_print_scripts', 'bp_cover_scripts' );
So i changed the hook from wp_print_scripts to wp_head and it tend to worked initially. Than after upgrading the Buddypress Cover Version that trick also is not working. Does some one know to make that CSS load globally throughout my site?

Hello, before I start I’d like to just say yes I have done some “googling” and have not found the specific help I need. At the moment I am running my site on my localhost as I am just testing things and learning before actually turning it into a real website. I have very LITTLE knowledge of coding, pretty much a newbie of all this.

Wordpress version: 4.1.1
Buddypress version: 2.2.1

I would like it for members of the site to be able to make there own sub blog which they can edit and add posts too etc. (Not a multisite) Or possibly make it so they can add there own subcategories (Which they can add posts too) to a category already made by me. I’d like this to be done through a page so they can go to this page and fill out blog name, description etc etc and then be able to publish it.

Is this possible? If so how? I’m not much of a coder.

I have a new and up-to-date installation of WP and BP at thegoodflirt.com.

I put the Buddypress login widget in the sidebar. I am able to register a new user and activate from within the admin; however, users cannot log in via the widget. I get areturn page saying: “Error 406 – Not Acceptable. Generally a 406 error is caused because a request has been blocked by Mod Security.”

Users can log in through the regular WordPress login page.

I’ve browsed around support and the web and have not seen a solution other than possibly to disable mod_security.

Can anyone advise? I am on inmotionhosting.

I’m on the latest version of BuddyPress, bbPress, and WordPress.
I’m using the genesis magazine-pro theme.

I’ve been tweaking the CSS for bbpress and buddypress by copying their css files to my theme directory/css directory. So far so good. I’ve been able to make a lot of changes that fit better into my theme.

But I’ve run into a situation I don’t know how to handle. Because I’ve increased the font sizes slightly, the whats-new-options div is no longer tall enough. When I inspect it in Chrome’s inspector, I see that the height is not set by the CSS definition of whats-new-options. Instead there is a style=height:40px; attribute on the div tag.

In chrome’s inspector I see that I can chane that height to 60 and it looks ok. But I don’t know how to change that style tag permanently.

It seems to me that i have to find where this HTML is being generated. The only thing I could find is
/buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/activity/post-form.php and I found
<div id=”whats-new-options”>
but there is no style attribute. So I’m at a loss as to where that style attribute is coming from so I can change it.

Any ideas? I know just enough CSS and PHP to be dangerous, so forgive me if I’m missing something obvious.
