I use WordPress 3.5 with bbPress 2.2.3. Today I installed BP privacy plugin for profile privacy settings.
User can set privacy status at their member pages, but user can only choose activity, friends, messaging privacy setting. I hope to add forums setting here.
Is there any useful way ? I can not wait to get good advices. Thank you.
Gravatar Info integrated into wordpress, synced with buddypress and visible on public profile
I think the idea of Gravatar.com is great. A profile which follows a registered user around ALL wordpress sites.
And MOST importantly FB, twitter, google plus etc services are VERIFIED.
WHAT I WOULD LIKE …
I’m having a very difficult time with the typical wordpress & budypress profile set ups. I’ve looked around at various advanced profile plugins. I find the features at wp-admin/network/users.php?page=bp-profile-setup to be a bit limited especially with no verified services and no icons.
PLUS I strongly believe that we of the wordpress community don’t want to tire out our users with constant profile set ups on individual wp sites. GRAVATAR already does that. I can’t emphasisze how wonderful this idea of a one time profile set up for ALL wordpress websites is/could be.
I would like for the gravatar info to show up at wp-admin/network/profile.php and also on the front side of the buddypress profile at for example http://mysite.com/members/membername/profile/ Gravatar Hovercards do add a bit of the function that I desire but they have to be moused over and the user has to actually go to gravatar.com to see the complete profile info.
Is it possible to have at least a gravatar widget in public profiles with as much or as little detail desired as a temporary solution. (Full blown integration would still however be much better)
Perhaps what I’m looking for already exists. If so I’d appreciate a point in that direction.

I have a wordpress site with buddypress plugin installed for forums.
Whenever a user logs in, he is redirected to the homepage and he has to navigate all the way back to the page he was looking at. Is there a way I can make the user to stay on the page after logging in.

Since none of plugin works with new wordpress and buddypress for rich text editor I have started to implement it myself manually directly into the theme.
After using wp_editor() I got the editor on my fourms and it is posting forums content well without issue. However when I am trying to edit forums post it is not loading any content into the text editor. I am using below code if anyone can help me.

wp_editor( $content, 'post_text', $args);This doesnt load the forum post content just wonder. I have tested with the sting and just works fine it loads the string but not the actual content with the function. I dont know either this is the right function to get the content or not.

Topic: Left sidebar not visible
I am currently using WordPress, not the latest 3.5 but the one before that. And Buddypress version 1.6.2. The theme Im using is Custom Community
For some reason, my left side menu bar is not showing up on the site. I have added a few widgets to it from my dashboard, but nothing shows up on the front end.
Is this an issue with the theme, or am I doing something wrong?I am just making the site for a project, and am NOT learned in coding at all.
My site is http://ibahub.eu5.org/ and is still being worked on. However, I need to submit my project soon, and really need help with this.

Agonist.org recently went to WordPress from a prehistoric version of Drupal using a consultant to import the data. Due to miscommunication, he didn’t know we were also using BuddyPress and I think some of the data files and configuration might not be right.
The basic part of the blog works fine. We can add / edit / delete posts fine. But the users pages and activity stream have a borked CSS. The right column appears under the main data, not next to it, where it should be.

WordPress database error: [Out of memory (Needed 11272160 bytes)]

I have the following filters set up in my theme’s functions.php file to make a custom activation email for new users. Most everything works, but the only problem is the activation url does not pull trough the activation key, it’s just blank after ‘?key=’ what am I missing here to get the activation key (and avoid having to alter bp-core files):

I want to redirect users to login page if the access Activity page so it’s only accessible by login users. Is there any plugin or do you guys know where I should change?
The site is already in production so I want easy solutions.
I found this plugin but it looks old and not sure if it still works.
